We dont fly often and I was wondering if someone would mind clarifying this for me. I thought the rule was one liquid container 3.4oz or less in a quart size bag per person. But after looking at the TSA sight I now am thinking you can have multiple 3.4oz or less containers as long as they fit in a single quart size bag. Is that correct? Thanks.

Each person can have one quart sized ziploc bag filled with as many 3.4 oz or smaller containers as you can fit in the bag and still close it.

And just to clarify, the container has to hold 3.4oz or less to begin with. You can't have a large tube of toothpaste that is partially used and now holds less than 3.4oz. You said you don't fly much, so I thought I would just throw that out there.

Yes. And buy those Ziploc's with the little zipper thing that shoots across. Stays closed better, and you can pack a bit more in them (bottom is flat)

And everyone going thru security can have one. So if yours is crowded your 3 yr old is entitled to one also! So you can spread the 'wealth" around.
