I am taking my kids to WDW in July without my husband. We will be driving cross country to get there. I am thinking of using the traditional DP so, my question is, what TS restaurants do you think would be best in this circumstance. I obviously don't want too fancy (wasted on the audience),:rotfl2: but mom wants to eat something besides hamburgers in the park for a week. I was thinking of doing a Fantasmic dinner, and 2 character meals (can't decide between breakfast, lunch or dinner) Also, if you have some great ideas about CS, I would love to hear those too.

My experience has been the character interaction at Chef Mickeys (we did dinner and it was Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto & Goofy), Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh, Eyeore, Piglet and Tigger) and 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anatasia and Druscilla) were excellent. Food at the Crystal Palace and 1900 Park fare was good and was terrible at Chef Mickeys. We also did the Askerhuas Princess breakfast (Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Mulan). Again character interaction was great and food was ok. I would go to any of the again, even Chef Mickeys. The only one I've been disappointed with is Cinderella's Royal Table. Our experience was that it was just ok all the way around. I don't think I'd bother to go back again. Our experience at 1900 Park Fare was much better (and less expensive).

I think I'm going to do Ohana's and Cape May breakfast for Characters...maybe one more for dinner, if someone can convince me.
