We are planning our trip and have the DDP (1-1-1)for 7 nights.

I have a few ADR's that I am def. interested in (Fantasmic dinner, chef mickey to name a few). We are going May 3-10 and no hopping. So I don't have an exact plan for those for days for which park we will want to revisit.

I was wondering about just trying to get a TS the day we are there (for the parks we decide to revisit). Is there much possibility of that or will I be mostly out of luck?

You can call each morning to see what if anything is available for the times and size party you are interested in.Be aware that most of the more popluar places including character dining will have limited to NO availibilty.Your luck will depend on your party size, restaurant choice, and time choice.

It is possible. You can check in guest services when you arrive at the park and they can tell you which restaurants have tables available and the times.

In DHS there is a little information stand just at the end of the first street (where you turn to go back toward RnR - they can do same day ADRs and they also have all the menus there to look at.

One day last summer - it was around July 4th week - we were able to get a table for 4 at Mama Melrose, I think it was around 4-4:30pm.

You are more likely to get the early or later times.

I am def. going to schedule them for our character meal choices. My parents are going to be here this wknd and they are going w/ us. Maybe after this week I will have a better idea of what people are thinking of. It's been all my planning so far.

If only I knew about EMH and parade schedules I could better plan. LOL

If you have a car, you could always leave the park and go to a nearby resort, then return to the park, rather than waste a credit if there are no options in the park you want.

Even if you don't have a car, it would be a little more time to get back to any resort, but worth it for a sit down meal.

Nearby resorts are a great option. We have always had luck at the Grand Floridian Cafe near MK. The Boardwalk resorts and restaurants on the Boardwalk are an easy boat ride from either Epcot (the International Gateway) or the Studios. Of course, you can take a bus from any of the parks to any of the other resorts too.

The Fantasmic pkgs require a credit card guarantee and always sell out. You might want to consider making an ADR for that one too. You may or may not be able to get into one of the restaurants that do the Fantasmic pkg, to just eat a meal, but the pkg itself may not be available that night. Make sense?

Thanks for your great suggestions. I am going to plan on being sure to reserve any character dining, and fantasmic dinner schedule. We are going to each park one day then have an extra 2 1/2 days so we might leave the repeat days up to "luck" lol.
