Eh, nothing much here. Yesterday was really much more active. We had a steady wind of about 20 mph and higher gusts. It rained like crazy from time to time and there was one pretty good thunderstorm. Today it's just overcast and very humid.

So anyone feeling any effects from this thing?

A little windy on the West Coast (Tampa Bay Area) but nothing much to speak of. A little lite shower earlier.

Update - Just looked out the window and it is a very lite rain again. I wish Tammy would hurry up and move along.

Last night it was rainy and super windy. Sounded like a mini-hurricane. We had a lot of rain this morning, but seem to be in a clear patch right now.

No impact here, but it's freaky having a storm share your name (even if the spelling is different) and I can't believe we've made it to T -- isn't this the first time we've gotten that far in the alphabet since we started naming storms?

West coast of Florida needs to keep an eye on this, from the NHC:

AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER HAS DEVELOPED OVER AND EAST OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA THIS MORNING. THIS SYSTEM IS NOT WELL ORGANIZED AT THIS TIME...BUT SURFACE PRESSURES ARE LOW IN THE AREA. UPPER- LEVEL WINDS COULD BECOME FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES NORTH-NORTHEASTWARD.

In 1995 we got to the T's with Tanya. It was the 19th named storm. In 1933 there were 21 hurricane/tropical storms!

More hurricanes formed in 1969 (12) than in any other year so far. Camille was a hurricane from that year. :scared1:

I am not anywhere near the east coast but we have had 30 mph winds all day because of a cold front moving through. We had a bunch of rain last night, some areas got over 5 inches of rain yesterday afternoon/evening so, kind of like being in a tropical storm except that it is 44 degrees not 84 degrees out.

We're having rain rain rain. Have had winds clocked at 50mph and are expecting 6+ inches of rain. Oh well!

:umbrella:

Lots of rain today and expected rain and wind tonight.

Right now...oddly enough...the sun has come out...

We have been gettting torrential rains and very strong winds since about 7:00ish last night. It's been off and on, but it's been pretty steady now since about 1:00 this afternoon. I have yet to see the sun today :smooth: I guess by the time it really gets to us it's supposed to be a tropical depression, though.

Yes, we have been having very unusual warm weather in WI. I think we broke the high temperature yesterday. The only time it is this warm is when there is a hurricane brewing down south and it pushes all the warm weather up this way.

Sorry if I offended anyone that is directly getting hit from Hurricane Tammy.

Bet why does it NOT surprise me to see you on this thread????? LOL!!!

Now where is Christine!!!!!

Stay safe you all, hope she fizzles!

Another Tammy checking in. Apparently I'm not very organized as a storm either :rotfl2:

Nothing but rain rain and more rain just south of Jacksonville.

Windy and rain all day. She is moving away from northeast Florida and headed up to the coast of Georgia.
