HELP! My 9yo is firmly convinced that she has no need to order from a kids' menu (and to be fair, she's never been of the mac n cheese/chicken nuggets/burgers/hot dogs mindset). How flexible are the TS restaurants with fixing something not on the menu, or allowing them to order certain elements without the entire meal (for instance, a baked potato or side of steamed broccoli)?

Usually, DH & I will order appetizers & entrees, and she'll eat off our plates. However, without DH along this year, I'm afraid there won't be enough variety for her to find something she'd like from my selections, but I don't want to force her to order a children's meal.

Ideas are gratefully welcomed!

A great option is the Concourse Steakhouse - they offer a number of 'steak' type sides ie mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, mushrooms, etc and will do up a large platter for about $9.

Some places will charge you a full entree price.

Yacht Club Galley is very flexible as well, so I would try them. Spoodles may do something as well - try the $7 dip appetizer which comes with 5 dips, and a huge mound of pita and focaccia bread.

Hope that helps!

Could you just let her order off the adult menu and doggy bag whta she doesn't eat? That's the beauty of staying in a resort with a mini-fridge and a microwave. You can zap up the leftovers for breakfast!
