I've made all my ADR's already and am happy with my choices, but on a couple of evenings, we will be eating an early CS dinner, and I would really like to try out at least a couple TS restaurants for dessert and coffee only. So, where are the best desserts in the World?

It probably will depend heavily on your tastes.
Allears.net has a detailed menu list and prices.

But, I've got to tell ya, picking up one of the DELICIOUS pastries at the little walk-up pastry shop in the back alley of france and sitting outside in the evening people watching....nothing better.
Those are some quality pastries for about $3. The last time that I was there I sat next to a frenchman who said he always goes there because it reminds him of home.
I highly recommend the 'Marvelous" It is like a light cake bottom with a big ball of something that tastes like a rumball in the middle and then topped with a huge swirling mound of chocolate butter cream. Nearly impossible to finish alone.
(the insides of the Epcot TS restaurants aren't that spectacular to me....with the exception of San Angel Inn inside Mexico...that is just over the top beautiful in there..but I have no idea if they serve any good desserts).

We love getting French pastries too. We also love the bakery in Norway and the cheesecake served at Sommerfest in Germany (also quick serve). Italy also has Tiramisu available at the outdoor kiosk. Sunshine Seasons in Future World, Starring Rolls at DHS and the Boardwalk Bakery at the Boardwalk Resort also have some great desserts. And while I love the "high end" desserts, my favorite dessert in all of WDW is the vanilla cupcake at Roaring Forks at the Wilderness Lodge. YUM!

As for table-service, we've never had any desserts that are any better than the ones we get at the counter service locations (I'm sure they all come out of the same bakeries) but we do love the Maple Creme Brulee at Le Cellier, the regular Creme Brulee at Chefs de France, the flan at the San Angel Inn, and the Key Lime Pie at Olivia's at Old Key West. I'd also recommend the sundaes at Beaches & Cream,

I highly recommend Narcossee's at The Grand Floridian for some Almond Crusted cheesecake and a dessert martini! That's a little slice of heaven! :goodvibes

And honestly, sitting outside for a view of EPCOT is much more interesting than the view inside the restaurants (it's not like being in prime time or sci-fi where they have such unique interiors).

You could go get some smores at prime time! But I think that would be a messy dessert and not quite the relaxing with an elegant dessert experience that you are looking for (although getting covered in sticky marshmallow is super duper fun).

A couple of years ago two foodies decided to do a "desserts only" at Bistro. Their report included photos and was very comprehensive. They had no problem doing this.

I was thinking about doing this at Sci Fi--time and appetite permitting. I've got an ADR at 50's prime time, so Sci Fi is the only place I can think of that I really want to see that I haven't or don't have plans to on this trip.

This report is insanity! I love it!
I am currently having chocolate mousse pie for breakfast as I read it.
It's good to be an adult!:woohoo:
