I have made an ADR for Coral Reef in Epcot during our upcoming trip. We have eaten there before, and I am wondering if there are any other fun child-friendly TS restaurants in Epcot. The kids don't remember our last trip very well (they were young, and it was 4 years ago), but DH and I are considering trying something new to us.

What would you suggest?

The Garden Grill has characters, as does the Akerhaus (Princesses). I would think that both of these are very child friendly. The Biergarten is also very child friendly.

Garden Grill has characters

Via Napoli, some kids really enjoy Biergarten, some enjoy Teppan Edo

Try checking out All Ears website and see what sounds good :thumbsup2

As others have noted- Garden Grill and Akershus are character meal options in Epcot and my kids do enjoy local restaurants similar to the style of Teppan Edo. My brother and I enjoyed Biergarten and Les Chef as kids and my children have also enjoyed Rose & Crown as well as Le Cellier. While we haven't eaten there- they both oooo'd and aaaahhh'd over the atmosphere at San Angel.

Our first few trips my kids were little, and we ate at Rose and Crown once (to eat on patio during illuminations), San Angel, and Teppanyaki (now Teppan Edo). I have to say they have never turned up their noses at anyplace we have eaten at Epcot after all this time--and now have added Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, and Chefs de France. In fact my youngest (now 13) really enjoys foods he only gets at WDW on the DDP because they cost a lot here at home--scallops, salmon, etc.
Any WS restaurant will give them the coloring menu, crayons, etc. We still have a plastic kids cup from WS back in the day.

My son's favourites at EPCOT are Coral Reef (he loves the fish tank), Chefs des France (he loves when Remy comes around) and strangely he said Via Napoli (We have had a couple of delicious meals there but I think it may have been the gelati that he had after that he remembers :rotfl: )
Biergarden is fun too and Garden Grill is fun, but I'm not a fan of the food there.

We like Coral Reef also. Our son also likes LeCellier. It's sort of like eating in a castle. And they made him a virgin frozen strawberry dacquiry. I can't remember if it was his beverage or his dessert. He loved it! He was 4 at the time. We're going back to both places next month, except that LeCellier will be lunch this time. We're also adding in Via Napoli this time.

We've also done Rose & Crown. I think they let him get fish and chips there even though it was not listed on the kids menu. This time we are just doing the fish and chips quick service next to Rose & Crown.

Last time we had a 4:30 reservation at the french restaurant and asked to see Remy the rat. He was so funny, but our son had fallen asleep sitting up and missed the whole thing. Luckily I recorded it on video. I wasn't thrilled with the food there, but Remy was so funny, we loved our experience there.

We did Garden Grill when he was 18 months old. We loved meeting Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto, but I wasn't exactly thrilled with the food, but I'm a picky eater. However, being in a booth and slowly turning during our meal was fun.

Have fun planning your trip!

We love Garden Grill. It is served family style and you can ask for more of what you want. This is one my 15 year old son said was a must when we return this year. He said it was cool turning around and the characters were great.

For what its worth, we walked away from Garden Grill feeling that the food was mediocre at best. Characters were fun, though, and the entire thing rotates.

That being said, Germany can be a lot fun. There's dancing and singing and its pretty noisy. The buffet offers plenty of kid-friendly options.

We've also enjoyed Via Napoli with our four year old. It was the only place he could get spaghetti and meatballs. And, again, pretty noisy atmosphere so you won't be bothering anyone expecting a quiet meal.

Looks like lots of great options that I have not tried before! Thanks all! I will have all kinds of fun picking from your recommendations!
