TS exchange for CS+Snack

anyone back that has any pics of the sling bags that are offered if you exchange a t.s. for a quick service & sling bag?

My parents got one...I will get my mom to take a pic of it. You know those string looking bags the oranges come in? Yea, well picture it blue with a white "Disney" written on it and there ya have it. Not really all that great. Funny thing is they left the TS in place anyway. When we told the front desk about it they said not to worry about it. He said there are lots of "kinks" the first week of stuff. We didn't get an "extra" TS, they just took away a CS and left the TS too...so basically we just ended up getting a free bag.

Okay, if it's the one I'm hoping... :) It's about twelve inches in diameter, with a vinyl-lined zipper compartment at/as the bottom, about eighteen inches high with one side solid canvas (or canvas-type) fabric and the other side mesh with about 1/4" spaces; a sliding drawstring closure, and a sling-type strap about two inches wide, with a hook at the bottom connection; and a small zipped pocket on the solid fabric side. IhopeIhopeIhopeIhopeIhope :teeth:

Sounds like you are not in luck :(

Well, sounds like two snack credits for me! the bag doesn't sound good.

I have one. I can upload a picture later if no one else gets one. We just got back yesterday. They are not that great. Very flimsy sling mesh bag with the sling used as a drawstrings, blue and a white Mickey face on it. Kind of small. We got one on our last day to put all the extra snacks in. :)

It held maybe 4 bags of chips and 2 sodas barely. We had about 20 snacks that we redeemed for.

We originally had 10 days of ADR's but after about 4 days of using them we decided to go with counter service. The wait was so long at the restaurants and it took so much time out of our day and the stress of trying to be where you were eating was too much.

When redeeming for the 2 snacks you have to use it at the same place.

When ordering using a table service you just tell the cast member that is what you are doing. You get a certificate for the snacks or bag for each TS meal you convert to CS. So when we did dinner with 2 adult TS and 2 children's TS we got 4 snack certificates good for 4 mesh bags or 8 snacks total.

It sounds very disappointing. They clearly want us to take the snacks since the mark up in food is so high anyways.

:surfweb: 2 Snacks will work for me too. How often would you stop for a popcorn popcorn:: and NOT get a drink to go with it? That would cost 2 Snacks off the plan. 2 Snacks will help us out a lot -- wont' have to lug as many water bottles into the park!

This is very helpful to me. I kinda wish we were on the DDxP now, lol.

Since you already had the ADR's but decided not to go to them, did you call and cancel?? I am wondering if we check in at our ADR and are told we STILL have to wait 20-30 minutes, we will go get a CS instead. I have 2 lil boys who won't be that patient.

Also, a general question...When dh or I go up to order our CS meals, how do they know that we get 2 adult ones and 1 child?? I mean, sometimes ds is not at the counter...does the KTTW card STATE on there how many kids vs. how many adults?? Sorry to be so confusing here, lol. It's not like I am trying to order off the adult menu for ds...it's just that in the past, I have ordered 3 chicken finger meals and NEVER once did they ask me, I had to "offer" it up. TIA

Your card should say 2 adults, 2 child if thats whos traveling. Also, they will probably only let you order 2 adult meals and one child. I don't believe they will let you get 3 adult meals if there are only 2 adults on the plan;)

Thanks. I was just curious b/c last year, they would give us 3 adult size chicken strip meals when we would specifically ask for 2 adults and 1 childs portion. I had a few cm's tell me it didn't matter...I am sure that it does, but they just punched it in that way. I thought by the end of our trip, it would have messed up the tally of adult vs. child cs's but it didn't. Thanks so much...we leave at 7am in the morning :woohoo:

woo...hoo.... have fun! we're leaving Wednesday...

The restaurant that said it didn't matter.... I wonder if it was one listed in an above post that they didn't offer a kids menu?

At one restaurant we went to there was not something on the kids menu but it was on the adult menu. I think it was Cosmic Ray's and it was a hamburger. Not sure but they said if I wanted to get the hamburger it would cost us an adult counter service meal, NOT a child table service meal. Even though it was for a child. You can use as many adult or child meals per meal that you want. Does not matter the size of your party. We were a party of 2 adults, 2 children(1 infant as well) and we could order 4 children meals if we wanted or 3 adult and 1 child or even 6 adult meals. They don't care.

"they don't care" has not been our experience... we had 2A on our card (no children) and were not permitted to purchase 3A meals... (and we really wanted them for ourselves!) it took a manager to override the system to give it to us w/out standing on line twice...
so i guess you could say "they sometimes care!"

I didn't read the whole thread so maybe this was already said and if so, I'm sorry. When we went down Nov 06, the did not keep track of how many adult and how many kids you had, they were all combined. Too bad we didn't notice till the second to last day because my kids would have prefered some better meals. I don't know when it changed, but I have been told that it is, now they keep track of kids and adult meals. Maybe when you were there it hadn't changed yet. Just a thought...

Can whoever said that they have the mesh bag and would post a picture please post it. I'm really eager to see what it looks like.

Just thought someone might want to know. We redeemed our TS for CS in Epcot at the American Restaurant ( why the name is slipping my mind right now I don't know) But anyway..... We were 3 adults and 2 children. They told us we could only get 3 coupons. They said they do not give coupons for the kids meals. We didn't argue. But I am not sure if this was right..... Also, I think one of the cashiers charged me for 2 snacks AND took my coupon when I used it. ( It was earlier in the week and I didn't realize it until we did a final count the day before we left) So make sure you look at all of your receipts!
Just thought this might be helpful info. Sorry I didn't get a mesh bag.... Only snacks!
