TS exchange for CS+Snack

OK - the whole CS plus 2 snack thing for a TS was a nightmare yesterday!

We had 3 child TS left becAUSE DS didn't eat anything (he is ASD) and they didn't charge us for him at BUffets. They did one right at pinocchio - got a kids CS meal and a coupon . COsmic rays got one right - got a CS meal and a coupon for 2 snacks. Then the next one they took away our 1 CS we had left instead of doing the conversion. But we didn't know because he still gave us the coupon so when we went to use our 1 remaining CS they said we didn't have any left and I was upset and tired and we went to the City Hall and they said we still has a Kids TS left that could be converted so I went to Caseys because it became an issue of getting things settled after it took so long to figure things out and they charged it to my room!!!!!!!!!!!


So, after a manager came over 30 minutes later I explained again what I was trying to do, I left with a meal and a coupon.

These coupons can only be used at the emporium or at Mickey's star traders at the MK - can't just get popcorn and water or a mickey bar wherever you want!!!!!!!!

So, we have a lot of lolly pops, cotton candy, and gummy thingees used on our 2 snack things because they are already out of bags.

I have pictures of the coupons I will attach later. Just be aware they can only be used certain places and not everyone knows how to give you one and they don't know how to redeem at all.

We were able to use our coupons anywhere and for any snack on the dining plan. The only place was a coffee stand between Epcot and Future World that had a sign saying they did not participate in any dining plan options.

We ran the gamut of Mickey bars, chips, sodas, popcorn, ice cream, candy, shakes, pastries etc. Only thing was one coupon for the 2 snacks had to come from the same place. We used them in the hotel, all 4 theme parks and Downtown Disney.

We received the same coupons for an adult meal as for a child's meal, it is one coupon PER table service meal traded into a counter service. We would trade 4 meals and get 4 coupons for 8 snakcs extra.

I will say that we did have some cast members not know what the coupon was for and had never seen one but they always called someone over who was able to process the transaction correctly.

Yep, this happened with us at AK. But the CM pulled another employee over and he explained the process. We used our coupon at the snack cart right in front of the safari in AK.

We were on the deluxe plan last week and it worked with it too. We used 2 credits to order a whole pizza, 2 drinks & 2 desserst at POP century and got 2 coupons for the mesh bag/snack.

I agree, they are very cheap looking. We ended up getting them anyways since we were on the DxDP and had tons of snack credits on our last day and just didn't need anymore snacks. We are a family of 4 staying 7 nights and on our last morning had 19 snack credits to use. It was our 1st time to use any dining plan and were just too full to make the most of our snack credits. The kids opted for the bags instead.

I agree. It looks just like the dollar store bags I bought for putting our shoes in... except mine are lime green.

DD and I traded our TS meals in at Wolf Gang Puck Express one night last week. Initially, the cashier had no idea what I was talking about...I seemed to know way more about the promotion than he did. I asked that he check with his manager, so he left the counter, went to the back and came back with ....SURPRISE....2 vouchers for snack credits/mesh bags!!! So, we ate 2 CS meals that night. About 4 nights later we realized we still had 11 snack credit left plus the 2 vouchers (4 snack credits) and we were leaving to go home!!! So, we took the vouchers to our resort gift shop (Panchitas @ Coronado Springs) and got 1 mesh bag and 2 giant lollipops! Then we went to DTD and loaded up on make-your-treats at Goofy's to take home to our friends!!!!

Yes, the bag is a little cheap...but I look at it this way....for starters...we were there on FREE dining!!! So, the bag was FREE! Secondly, I had a very filling meal at WGPE previously, so the bag was a BONUS for my DD....again...FREE!!! Thirdly....the bag kept me from shoving one more brownie in my face....yea for weight watchers!!!!!

I had the DXDDP. I was told at WPE that WPE was not officially giving the coupon to the DXDDP people as there was no distinction for our meals and they are good everywhere. I was also told it depended from restaurant to restaurant. Basically depending on who controlled the restaurant. Obviously all Disney Controlled places were doing it but not all non Disney controlled places were offering it Deluxe Plan people. That being said because I waited in line for 10 minutes patiently he snuck me a coupon and told me just this one time he would do it for me.
