TS credit math help

I search but didn't find the answer. DH, DD6, DD4 and myself will be going for 4 nights. We have DDP. So, we will have 16 TS credits 8 Adults and 8 Kids. Are the credits broken down like that? If DH and I eat at a 2 credit restaurant one evening (4 credits) and put the kids in the kids club at the resort, how many credits do we have left? Will we have 12 TS credits left, or is it broken down 4 Adults and 8 Kids? Could we then as a family go to 3 more meals using TS credits? Does this make sense?

It is separated between adult and child. You couldn't use left over child credits for an adult TS meal.
