TS credit at CS location?

Hi all,

I know this has been answered a billion times probably, but if I'm on the regular DP, and don't want a sit-down meal each day, will I be allowed to use my TS credit for a CS meal? Is it an automatic thing, or is it "up to the CM"? Has anybody encoutered a time when they weren't allowed?

I apprecite the help, trying to decide if I want to upgrade the (hopefully for my room category!) free QSDP to DDP, looking at 8 to 10 days, and that's a lot of sit downs with a 3 year old, but still cheaper to upgrade to DDP since I'm doing 3 character meals and BOG dinner.

Generally speaking, it is not possible to do that.

CS locations and TS locations cannot "see" or accept each others' credits. CS locations can "see" and accept CS credits and snack credits, and TS locations can only "see" and accept TS credits.

There have been times in the not-so-recent past where a conversion was offered (usually during extremely high-volume times when the TS locations couldn't accomodate the demand) whereby they would grant you a CS credit and a snack in exchange for a TS credit - but this had to be handled by the resort desk and not at the restaurant where you wanted to use the new credits. And I haven't seen or heard about this being done in quite a while.

The 2013 dining plan brochure specifically states that you can used a TS credit for a CS meal so you shouldn't have a problem. Some people have said it can only be done after you've used up all your CS credits.

All of the credits are given to you when you check in and can be used in any order you wish. You don't have to use one CS and one TS each day. You can have 2 TS one day and 2 CS on another.

We have used TS credits as CS credits without any problems in the past.
