We have the deluxe dining plan. Two of our days we are eating counter service at lunch. Our two places to eat will be Columbia House and Flame Tree, what can we order when on deluxe? The reason I ask is that hubby and I would like to share the meal using only 1 DXTS credit.

You only get an entree, dessert and drink. You can exchange your dessert/drink portions for anything that is a snack credit. Flame Tree should work out well as you can get the sampler platter and then two items like basket of fries, onion rings, dessert or drink. That will be plenty for two.

Columbia Harbour House won't be quite as filling, but I believe the chili and the chowder are both snack items, so you could get an entree and two of those.

You do know this is a terrible use of a DxDDP credit, right. Those credits are "worth" about $33.

Yes, I know it is not a good use of TS credits but on those two days I don't want to have ADR for our lunches, and want to share one TS credit. I figure with sharing it would not be a bad use.

Have you thought of just paying out of pocket for those 2 meals? The most it would be for a meal to share would be $20. You could then do an extra signature meal or something. Where are your breakfast and dinners those 2 days?

Especially since it's a dxddp credit i would definetly not use it on a counter service. I would agree with chernabog to pay oop for those meals or share a meal at a table service. I know adrs can take up a lot of time, but I always go cost effective first.
We are paying oop for our candlelight processional meal at breakfast because it would not be a good use of our dxddp credits.

Sharing doesn't play in to the value of the credit. You're still paying $33 for maybe $20 worth of food. But, to each his own.

We have used CS on the DxDDP and it was fine. We also share a TS lunch and that works even better. I know that scheduling an ADR can be restrictive so if you do not want that constant, go with Flame Tree. The entree sizes are generous enough to share.

No, but it does stretch them. Flame Tree is one of the best uses of a credit in AK, so I would not worry too much.

But that still doesn't change the value of them. Yes, it means ALL your meals are covered and you don't have to spend any money OOP. BUT you've still spent more than if you paid OOP. I know you still have Disney kids, so the math is still in your favor, but it sounds like OP is just 2 adults. If they eat two of these meals at a QS and can manage to "spend" $20 at each, they've still lost at least $26. Can they make up that loss at their other TS meals?

No, it does not change the value of each credit in terms of dollar value. I have Disney kids if the little girls I care for accompany us, so then the value of each credit changes, I think. Most times we are all Disney adults, so I watch those credits like a hawk and given a choice I book TS. I hate wasting money. LOL! Personally, it kills me to use CS meals when we can enjoy a nice break in a TS restaurant, but if I was really opposed to an ADR ( I am not, I know when we like to eat lunch) I would just make the best of the CS choice and move on.

You know me well enough to know I take kids with me so you know that I refuse to get hung up on losing money on any individual eal as long as I have considered the total cost of my plan vs the cost of my meals in total. If I had too may CS meal on my rotation, that DxDDP would be out the window! LOL! In my planning process I need to knwo I am at least going to break even. Once we arrive, if someone is not hungry, etc, and chooses not to order what I had anticipated in my planning, I don't worry. I will admit that when my DD only ordered a flatbread for her lunch at MM it was all I could do not to bellow down the table "Get the chicken!!!!!!!!!! I planned chicken for you!" But I had a glass of wine instead! LOL!
