TS close to EPcot or HS?

One evening after nap we will head back to HS to finish our day there.

I hear TS at HS isn't the best. What's close by that I can go to? Boardwalk in walking/monorail distance? I don't want to waste too much time getting to and from restaurant...but if close might want to try a resort TS vs HS table service.

If not...what is "safe" for HS. I am an adventurous eater, DH appreciates fine food but secretly desires his mom's pot roast, Preschooler likes grilled cheese...so he is not a factor as he will eat same thing wherever we go :)

Thanks,
Holly

My family never eats TS at the Studios. We tried Hollywood and Vine once... never again. From Hollywood Studios, you can walk to the Boardwalk fairly easily. You can walk to the Yacht and Beach Club, but that's less easy -- probably easier to take a boat. Also (barely) within walking distance is Epcot. My father and brother can walk it in about 20 minutes, going briskly, but if you took a more relaxed pace it may well be twice that. You can also take the boat from DS to Epcot, I believe.

As for good TS at those locations... Many of the Epcot World Showcase table service choices are quite good. As for either the BW or Y&BC restaurants, I've only tried Spoodles, and that's closing, so I'm no help to you there.

There's no monorail in the Epcot resorts area or at Studios. The only monorail station is at the front of Epcot park and runs back to the TTC where you can change to the MK monorail.

The transportation is either walking or by boat. The Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club and the Swan and Dolphin) are all within walking distance of both Epcot and Studios, but the walk from Studios is much longer than the walk from Epcot. If you don't want to walk, you can take the boat, which takes about a half hour to complete the run between Epcot and Studios and stop at all three resort stops. If you have a very small child and you think the walk looks daunting, make sure you add enough time for the boat.

Mom's pot roast would be 50s primetime cafe in HS.

We like Brown Derby...this trip with an "extra" friend, and without the dining plan too much $$$ for the trip for dinner, but if it's in the budget, consider it.

Thank you...sounds like a bigger time investment than I am wanting to make. Maybe I'll just close my eyes and do that prime time cafe...DS should at least laugh and DH would get the pot roast his own wife refuses to make for him...but his mama gives him every chance she gets.

Is it really bad...cracker barrel quality I can live with...is that a good comparison? Or if it is great correct me please as I must have just read a bad review or something.

i developed an allergy to fish in my 20s, but people I've been with like the salmon at 50s prime time. might be an option.
