Trying to use pics for Shutterfly book, but they aren't big enough??

Hi! So I'm looking at pics on the photo thread of signs and such for my Shutterfly photobook of our trip, but when I go to right click and save them...none of them seem to be big enough for what Shutterfly recommends?! For an 8 x 11 book it recommends the pics be 1200 x 1600...but all pics I've seen so far are under 1000? Am I missing something? Will the quality still look good? Any help appreciated!!

The quality of most of the shots is very good. I don't know what size photo spots you are trying to put any in though. The pictures were for the most part designed to be used as 4 by 6's and printed out by a photo place. I don't know about photo books and the quality they need in them. depending on who took them you may be able to go to the original photographer (by pm) and see about having the original photo sent to you by email. Since you would be using a photo that you are transfering between online sites it may be degrading the quaility ( I have no idea but that is the only thing that makes sense). Also if you are trying to crop it down it may be changing it enough that it doesn't fit in your space. Since I don't do digital scrapbooking I can only give you a few ideas from what I know not any firsthand experience.

I never check the quality of my photos before putting them in to my Shutterfly books. Shutterfly is great about doing that for you! They will put a yellow "hazard" sign on the picture if the quality isn't good enough.

I've done some of the 8x8 books before and had that issue with a couple of pictures but I added them anyway and they looked fine in the book.
