I know that you get 1 breakfast, 1 snack and 1 dinner per day. Now if I want to go to breakfast at the food court at the hotel, what am i allowed to get or if I go to a sit down breakfast like the Concourse Steakhouse is there only certain things I can order from the menu?

The same goes with dinner, if I go to say again the Concourse Steak house I read I can choose an appetizer, dinner, soft drink and dessert, but what If i want to choose the most expensive dinner item on the menu can I do that? Not that I am, I am just trying to find out if I go to a restaurant can I chose whatever i want?

Any one do the dining plan before and what are your opinions?

Actually you receive one counter service, one snack and one table service per night that you stay. You can use the counter service for any meal. The table service can be used at any sit-down restaurant, including character meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). There are some of the more expensive sit-down restaurants that require two "points". I don't go until September, but several people has stated that they were able to order the more expensive items. A few restaurants may have restrictions, but not many.

Don't think of it as a certain meal you are getting. Think of it as a type of meal. 1 snack, 1 counter service meal, and 1 table service meal for every night you stay in a WDW resort. They all go into one bucket and you can use them in whatever order you wish. If you want two counter service meals on the first day and 2 table service meals the next day that is fine.

Also, everybody's "points" goes into the same bucket as well. Even the kids'. Many people will opt to pay kid's meal prices so that they can save those points for more adult meals. Many people also let their kids share their meals and save points in that way.

I haven't heard of any restrictions on what you can order.

Read the Dining Plan FAQ for good pointers.

no matter when you did a counter service place - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, it will still be a counter service credit used.

Same with table service - no matter what meal it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, it is still a table service credit used.

Price of item ordered was not an obstacle.... Have fun ordering the most expensive and knowing it still cost the same exact amount per day as if you had ordered the cheapest. Planet Hollywood and Wolfgang Pucks (both in downtown disney and both new to the plan and not Disney owned) are the only ones that have menu restrictions.

The only menu restriction at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe is that the entree can't be more than $27, otherwise you pay the difference. (there's only 1 item on the menu over 27 that I can recall). You still get your choice of appetizer and dessert. However, kids can't get the appetizer, but still get the entree and dessert.

If you get breakfast at the resort, make sure you get your "dessert". For example, we would get the adult breakfast platter and then get a chocolate croissant (or some other pastry) and then a bottle of OJ. That was 1 counter service. The cashiers will gladly help you with what you can get on the plan and even offer tips on how to use the credits. We had 3 counter services left the day we were leaving and one cashier told me to go over and get 3 wrapped sandwiches, 3 bags of chips, 3 bottles of water, and 3 cookies or rice krispie treats. That was our lunch on the plane!
