Trying to rent...need advice

I'm trying to rent points for May at OKW and so far have had 2 people with points available tell me that they will check availability, that was a couple of days ago and I haven't heard back. Is that because this process takes awhile? This is my first time attempting this so maybe checking avail. takes longer than I expected.
Am I doing this too late considering May is only a month and a half away?
I'm trying to be patient, but I also don't want to sit around and wait for something that's not going to happen.
Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

I can't help for May - June I could do it.

lots of time when they don't get back to you - the days you were hopping for are gone. some people don't like to deliver back news.

I agree with spicey - there probably is not availability for the dates you requested.

Due to the short timeframe, you might have trouble renting even if there is availability because of DVC's cancellation policies. members who cancel 30 days or less prior to arrival have restrictions placed upon the points that make them difficult to use. So if you do find a member willing to rent you a May reservation (assuming accomodations are still available for your dates), expect to pay the entire amount up front.

okay found your post May 7 - 12 OKW studio

May 8 is not possible.

the others day are - but for some reason May 8 is completely sold out - and yes this is Monday....

the MS I talked to doesn't understand this any more than I do....

you could get someone to make the reservation for you except for the 8th and go on a waiting list - but you are requiring alot out of probably a new member.
