Hi everyone! I have been trying to look through all the posts...there is so much I need to learn as a WDW vet!!! ;)

Well, I have 2 little boys who will be 2 and 4 by the time we go next April 2009-which fits b/c of DS school vacation.

I know I want to stay at Disneyland Hotel...

Being from NJ, my biggest obstacle seems to be finding a nonstop flight! The airlines we usually fly do not have--so I will have to adjust to a new airline-love suggestions if anyone has them.

I was planning 5 days at DLR. Is that too much? I really don't care about seeing anything else out there personally-I could take or leave the zoo etc-but I would reconsider if I had more info maybe on what is worth seeing etc.

I don't think DLR will be as frequent a trip for us as WDW (WDW=4 times a year:rolleyes: ) I mean maybe once every other year?

I appreciate any ideas etc anyone might have-in the meantime, I am going to start plowing through the threads...

Only thing I can think-- Easter is going to be on the 12th that year, I would book your trip as far from that date as you possibly can. For example: we are going the last week of March 2009 as my son's spring break is then and were going to drive Sat night (give us all time to pack) and arrive Sunday morning which is as early as we can get there. Also booking Sun-Friday check out = lower hotel rates. Many California schools let out the week before or the week after Easter.

Not sure about 2009, but anyone planning for 2008 should know that the beginning of April (1st-10th) will be a good time to go with very minimal crowds, but STAY AWAY the weekend of April 18-20 with the major cheer and dance competition taking place!! Went last year with it going on and it was the most crowded I've ever seen! The lines were just crazy and we could barely even walk around the park! Also, early May won't be very crowded either!

Well, that rules me out because our vacation is April 10-19....I think everywhere will be crowded Dl, WDW-you name it, it's crowded!

What about February?
