We went to WDW 8/09 and had a great time. I have booked a cruise for 8/11 and plan to go to WDW before that cruise.

I got the Disney visa offer and could go just me and my 2 dds for $800 + upgrade to ddp ($70) + airfare ($600-700). 4 nights, 5 days, value hotel in August.

We are also going to the black hills this summer on a family trip.

Don't know if I should take the girls myself this summer too. My odd is a little more adventurous than ydd. I don't know if we will have problems on getting a decision on what rides to do. Also, I don't know if this would make our trip next year less magical since we will be going this year too (3 years in a row).

I could ask my mom if she wanted to go with as well, but don't know if that is her thing and whether or not she would like that kind of vacation.

I am such a bargain hunter and this is a good deal, but I don't want to go on the trip for a deal's sake.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi, I think that if your budget can handle it, and you would all enjoy Disney, then I say go for it! We went the past 2 years and my girls and I would be thrilled to go back this year for a 3rd year, but DH has had enough for now :sad1: Personally, I don't think it kills the magic. I think it adds lots of excitement because the girls know how fun it is and have things to look forward to. But I guess it depends on the people. Are they Disney fanatics?

Good Luck with your decision!

If you don't mind, can you share details about the cruise? I'm trying to plan something non-Disney (boo-hoo) for this year or next year and am considering a cruise. Thanks!

THanks so much for your advice.

The cruise is a Disney cruise so sorry--it is disney related. That is why I am thinking we may be over doing it. You could go to cruise critic.com. They have lots of info about cruises. I am hearing that some of the bigger Royal Caribbean cruise lines ships are really neat with rock climbing and ice skating rinks. Good luck to you too.
