My friend's baby girl passed away two weeks ago. She & her husband also have a three year old little girl. No one in their family has ever been to Disney. In the midst of their grief (& probably feeling simply overwhelmed by everything) they have decided to go to WDW next week. I think they want to get away & just enjoy their little girl and let her see the princesses. They are using their emergency fund to take the trip & funds are kind of tight. I would like to somehow get her a Disney gift card or something like that, but am not sure how to do it. We are in Ohio & they are in TN, so I'm aftraid if I mailed something, she wouldn't receive it before they leave. I have her reservation #. Would it be possible to call ahead to their resort (Pop) & do that with my credit card. Does anyone else have any ideas of something special to do for them? I've been helping her plan things a bit. They pretty much don't know anything at all about Disney - not even that there are four parks. I don't want to overwhelm her by making reservations or something for her. Thanks for your help!!

I'm not sure how to work out the gift card since you're not near her (if you were, I was going to say get one at Walgreen's and give it to her), but you can order something to be delivered to them through the Disney Florist -- just Google they have their own website.

I'd call Disney and ask if there was any way that you could put a credit to her bill that they could use for incidentals.

What a tragedy for your friend. It's nice that you want to do that for her. I'm wondering if you send her one directly thru Disney's site, if you could just have it sent to her hotel if you don't think it will get to her house in time. I guess I would call them first as previously suggested.

What a kind gesture! I'm sure that the help you are giving them with planning is a gift in itself to them. I echo what others have written - contact the hotel, Disney florist, and the give a gift online.

It would be $15 to have the gift card delivered express mail. If they're leaving next week you should have enough time to get it to them that way. Use the link from the poster above to get to where you can purchase the gift card.

I'm really sorry for your friends loss, it's a terrible thing to go through and I hope the magic of Disney helps them at least briefly through the mourning period.

You are an amazing friend!
If you call POP, they should be able to put you through to a customer service line who can assist you.
Most likely they will take a credit card over the phone, and you can purchase a gift card which will be left for them at check-in.

Good luck to you!
