Okay so I know I'm probably going to face the envy of others because I have the opposite problem of most and that's that I'm not at a high enough weight to be healthy. That's right, I'm trying to gain weight.

I had cancer and only recently reached remission and I took off about 20 pounds when I was sick and I've only managed to put a few pounds back on. Which puts me right around 100 pounds right now standing at 5'8". Clearly, I need to put on some weight. The problem is, I've always had a metabolism that just goes and goes and goes and gaining weight has always been an issue. I rarely strayed from around 115 before I got sick, so I'm sure this will be on uphill battle.

I'm looking form some advice as to how I can put on the pounds. Any suggestions of exercises or diet changes (I'm a fairly picky eater as a warning) would be appreciated.

I would probably see a Nutritionist for ideas on how to do this healthily.

I would also recommend an endocrinologist. I assume if your thyroid was involved in the cancer you beat you would have mentioned it, so I would get that thoroughly checked out. The drugs to help beat the cancer could have got things out of whack and it would be worth checking!

I vote for the nutritionist idea as well.

Sorry to hear about the cancer and corresponding issues. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.
