Trying to find my way

I've been reading threads for 3 days now. How addictive!!
I'm having trouble finding threads that I want to go back to and spend more time reading. Any suggestions? Is there a place to save the threads you want to keep visiting... I've seen people 'subscribing'. Is this the way and if so how does it work?

I'm registerd and have posted atleast 3 times. When I click on 'my icon' and choose 'view all post from this person' - it shows up 'no matches'. Anyone have any clues?

You need to subscribe to your threads. There are instructions on how to do that in the FAQ thread at the top of this board. If you haven't posted, but just want subscribe to a thread so you can find it again then there is a place at the top of the first post on each page that says "Thread Tools" . Click on that and there is a drop down menu so you can subscribe.

The search function under your name won't work until a few days after you post. It has to have time for the information to be but in the search database--or something like that. I don't really understand the techie stuff. Just that posts don't show up for a few days. And some days the search really doesn't work at all!

Second - Thanks for asking the question! I've been on the boards for a few months and there are lots of things that I still don't have a handle on. Now I know how to find interesting posts again!

it may not be the right one - but I copy and paste the url and keep an e-mail open to myself every time I am on the boards and email them to myself so I can get back to them. It helps me also send some to friends who are going with me on my next trip.

I know its so hard to find your posts from days in the past because there are so many DISers. Thats my olny complaint but I will get over it.

Always check out the FAQ thread--somethings are still in progress but the answers to a lot of your questions are probably there. Also we have a Tech Support board at the bottom of the main forum list and they have a FAQ, or you may just look and find your question already asked and answered.

And you can always just ASK! Either here or on Tech Support!

Believe me rellarella, you will get the hang of the easy stuff in no time. Then you can expand into the cool and interesting things like changing fonts and colors an posting pictures. Heck, there is still some things I haven't figured out how to do yet!

For any thread you post in... click on "User CP" located on the top left corner of the page. This will list threads you have posted in if there are any new responses.

However, can anyone help me find my way back to two links...

DVC SSR only - I found a link in another thread but can't find my way back.

The other was a thread specific for first time trippers. I've read so many I'm getting confused, but I think they were talking about the top most important things to take. Yes, I remember there were huge discussions on mole skins & where to buy them.

Yes, I posted on both. But like I said for some reason the posts didn't show up. Maybe I did one of the 'no-no's' and posted on a locked/old thread.

I searched the boards earlier today without any luck. Yes, I do remember the screen name of one of the posters. Excellent idea!!
