We realised we've reached the 200 day on our ticker and have been trying to choose where to dine when we are in WDW. After much discussion and reading restaurant reviews and drooling (or not) at photos we are still not sure about some of them. At the moment it looks like this :-
Day 1 DAK Lunch Flame Tree Bbq, Dinner Yak & Yeti
Day 2 Universal Studios
Day 3 DHS Lunch Backlot Express, Dinner Mamma Melrose
Day4 MK Lunch Columbia Harbour House, Dinner Whispering Canyon Cafe
Day5 BB/DTD Lunch WPE/EoS, Dinner Planet Hollywood
Day 6 EPCOT Breakfast Sunshine Seasons, Dinner Yatchsmans Steakhouse
Day 7 IOA
Day 8 DHS Lunch Studio Catering Co, Dinner 50's Prime-Time
Day9 DAK/ DTD Yak and Yeti (counter service), Dinner McDs (we may go to the cinema)
Day 10 MK Breakfast Kona Cafe, Dinner The Plaza Restaurant
Day 11 EPCOT Lunch Liberty Inn, Dinner Teppan Edo
Day 12 Park Hop Lunch at Beaches and Cream, Dinner still TBA
Day 13 Park Hop after Breakfast at Chef Mickeys, Dinner still TBA
Day14 Breakfast either at the hotel food court or in a park still undecided.
We are on the basic dining plan ,never used it before, which will be plenty of meals for us. We plan to use snack credits for breakfast items from time to time and have milk and cereal bars in our room for DS. We will purchase the mugs when we've checked in;) I've tried to get a good mix of TS and CS credits and we're waiting for the dates for MNSSHP to be released before making final choices on the last two dinners. I'm thinking possibly Liberty Tree Tavern for one of them as we'll have a few TS and CS credits left.
What do you think of these choices so far?

Some great choices there, we love Yak & Yeti and Tepan Edo:thumbsup2

GF Cafe & Narcoosees @ Grand Floridian is lovely to when we went last year to Narcoosees we had a window seat and watched Wishes they also have the music playing in the restaurant to accompany it:thumbsup2

Thanks for the quick reply;) we were unsure about Tepan Edo but they have had some great reviews recently and the photos alone made me want to try it at least once. It became a definite a few nights ago when DS and DH were watching Top Gear on "Dave" the one of them in Japan when Richard goes into the shop moaning about what he can't eat. DS blurted out "you've got to eat foreign food or you'll STARVE "!!! Well that made DH and I look at each other and chuckle and we said "glad to hear it you'll be trying some foreign food on holiday then":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: He replied "why did I say that out loud? Just forget I said it". So we showed him the photos of TE and all of the kids tucking in enjoying it so he's going to give it a go:thumbsup2 We have assured him he can have a fork as well as chop sticks ;)
Hope you don't mind me asking, what was the food like at Narcoosees and was the service good ??

I use a fork too cant use chopsticks very well, glad you are going to give TE a go as it is fantastic, we are going to book again for this year but have another 93 days before we can make our ADR

Narcoosees was very good service and the food was really good too:thumbsup2 It uses 2 TS Credits

We have eaten at all of the GF Restaurants apart from V&As and they have all been very good forgot to mention Citricos there you can also watch the fireworks & 1900 PF character dinner really good fun with Cinderella and Co

We are not keen on seafood especially since DH got a nasty virus one year from a salmon dish he had, even now he has problems with some fish dishes:sad2: We enjoyed a character breakfast at 1900 PF last time but we have read some very bad reports about the dinners there over the last two months but still better that the ones at CP. I know DH and DS are not keen on a breakfast with "the princesses" so I guess I'll have to keep looking for other options. I have given Chef Mickey's some thought for a dinner ADR what do you think? We've always had a breakfast there on previous trips and while the food was good the characters took an age last time to get right around the restaurant.
Anyone been to Tony's Town Square lately and how was it for lunch or dinner?
Would Tutto Italia be a better option.

You've got another 110 days to decide!

My suggestion would get the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose as you get a appitizer as well included for a TS credit :thumbsup2

We did LTT before MNSSHP in 2007 and really enjoyed but unsure now they have taken the characters away :confused3

Wish me luck as I am going to be trying to get a group of 7 organised for ADRs of which 4 have never eaten in a Disney TS restaurant!

ETA: We like Garden Grill in the Land for a character meal - if you are looking for a dinner in Epcot.

i was looking forward to booking my adrs this week but cant now!!

Yours look great by the way, far more organised than i am!

what a fab choice - the only bad thing i can comment on is planet hollywood- we had a really disapointing meal there on our last trip,on ddp - but the trip before that we were lovin' it! (oop) :confused3

don'tcha just luv planning those meals!

How about the Coral Reef for one of your dinner spots, it is not all seafood. We ate there last year, had the strip steak, it was excellent. I had the chocolate wave for dessert and DW had the creme brulee, both reccomended. :thumbsup2
OT looks like you are going out same day as us....

Good Luck with your ADRs we have always been very lucky in the past and made ours for where and when we wanted them and the CMs on the phone have always been fantastic and friendly, never lost a reservation number off their systems.

We were thinking of MM for the Famtasmic Package  you must have read my mind there;) and we've always enjoyed the food at GG at Lunch time in the past . We got "re-hitched " there in '04 an awesome day and a fantastic meal and photos with the characters what's not to love:thumbsup2 I was undecided about Biergarten the food looks good and there will be something there for even picky eaters by the look of it, only the live music may be a little too much for us. I guess we could take a look at the Sommerfest option as an alternative.

We've only considered this one as we have not been there since DS was a baby so it's been a while, and we get the voucher TBH it can't be any worse than the last time we went to HRC and the pulled pork sarnies tasted of vinegar no bbq sauce to speak of and the meat was so dry yuck :headache:

Our son thinks I'm insane for planning all our meals before we go  it's the first time he's even noticed us planning them bless him. We prefer to only have two main meals a day so if I make sure I have the TS ones organised at least then we can spend the rest of the day however we want to. We explained it to him and he seems fairly happy our CS meals will not be set in stone to allow some free spirited activities.

Will consult with DH about Coral Reef we've never been there and we are trying to fit in a few "new" experiences this year that's why we swapped Sci-Fi Dine-In for Mamma Melrose's. We've talked about R&C too but I don't know yet. I REALLY miss a proper Sunday Roast Dinner when we are on holiday and for some reason always end up longing for a decent meat pie, cornish pasty or sausage roll when we're there. I guess it's down to all of the sweet pastry offerings everywhere:rolleyes1
I don't think we've found any reviews of LTT for dinner since they stopped having the characters there, we had a lunch there some years back which was ok but they put mac and cheese on DS's plate with his chicken strips and fries, he hates mac and cheese so he picked around it. Our meals were great that's why it's still a possibility.
