We will be doing a split stay on our next trip in Dec. We are staying conc for the first time but don't plan on using it for meals exept maybe a breakfast or so. We used the regular dining plan on our last visit and loved it. We will miss the appetizer though so I was thinking about the deluxe plan. My husband loves to eat and one of the reasons I can get him to DW.
We will be there early the first day for a 4 night stay before changing resorts. If I understand it correct, we can use the plan from when we check in until midnight of the day we check out. Does that count even if you check into a new resort? So I would have a full 5 days to use the credits.
I have even thought about changing to a regular room. There are 6 of us my kids are 7,6,4,and 2 so will only have to pay for 3 of them.

This is our 10th aniversary trip and I really want it to be special. Will it be too much food or will we save money being about to us it the extra day?
Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Karen

I think it just depends on your eating habits. With paying for three kids, I think it would esp be a good deal for you. And since your DH wants appetizers.
The refillable mugs would be a big help to you too I would think.
However, you may spend more time in sit down restaurants than you want -- esp with kids.
I would think the regular would be good enough for you. And if your DH really wants an appy, just pay OOP.

With a split stay do both. Deluxe for the first part (so you get your mugs) then basic to finish up. Just pick the places where your hubby will want to have appetizers for the first part of the trip and save the buffets for the basic part of the trip.

Congrats on the anniversary and have a magical time.

:thumbsup2 I think that is an excellent idea.

Have a magical anniversary! :)

One important detail for my "Do both" suggestion, you'd have to buy MYW tickets (one day base ticket is fine) for both parts of your stay. That may make the DP not worth it, but do the math and decide for yourself.

This is exactly true - unless you are an AP holder or your second stay is with DVC, you would have to buy some form of ticket with the second reservation to add the dining plan to it.
