Trying to decide if memory maker is worth it...

We have gotten the memory maker for each of our trips and really like it. It makes it even more affordable as we usually travel with another family and split the cost.

I don't trust someone else with my expensive camera. 1 if something happens to it and 2 they may not quite know how to operate it. I like that they know their cameras, settings, the lighting etc to get a good pic. Plus no magic shots with my Nikon.

precisely why I love this option when vacationing at Disney otherwise the only pics with me in it are because I set the timer and jumped into the picture. I love that a semi trained photographer can capture those rare family photos.

For the money if you get some ride photos and stop at some photographers at each park it is worth the money. The other considerations is the length of your trip. If you are doing a shorter 3-4 day trip then might not be worth it. But for a longer trip the opportunity to take more pictures is there thus more rides and more stops at the photographers.

Would I get it every trip- most likely not. But for our once in a life time trip with grandparents and my daughters first trip - it is a must. When we return again in a couple years I'll have to decide at that point but I feel like I would lean towards getting it.

I agree maybe if it's your first trip or a once in a lifetime, might be worth it. The reason I'm not in the pictures is I don't want to be in the pictures. I don't like having my picture taken, there are a number of family pictures with me as far in the back as I can get (I'm short) or group pictures at events with my head turned. One of the worst days in my life was when my son got married, not only because my baby was getting married but because I had to be in those darn pictures. Since my son is not a fan of pictures and being in spotlight either, he understood and made sure I was only in one or two and had as little to do in actual ceremony as possible.

We got it last year with our 13-member extended family group and got tons of great pics!
It's only DH and I this November, and I'm still buying it. Can't wait!

I typically travel with a few adult friends and have always felt I would NEVER buy Photopass. I just got back from a 13-person multigenerational family trip... We get it included with our APs, but halfway through the trip I leaned over to my friend and said, "If we had spent the $200 on this, it still would have been totally worth it."

It really depends on your group makeup and what's important to you, though.

We got it last month and won't go without it from now on. It really didn't take much time out of our day to stop a few photopass photographers each day in each park. We love knowing that we'll have a lot of photos with all 4 of us in them.

We bought for the first time for this upcoming trip. So excited! Tired of the only way the two of us are in pictures together is if we take a selfie, ala my avatar! :p And it's always my outstretched arm looking freakish!

Prior to it being added to the AP's, we would always buy memory maker. We love it!! We get great and fun pictures. Over the last few years, they have added super fun and cute magic items to the pictures and short video magic. Definitely worth it!!

I agree maybe if it's your first trip or a once in a lifetime, might be worth it. The reason I'm not in the pictures is I don't want to be in the pictures. I don't like having my picture taken, there are a number of fat mily pictures with me as far in the back as I can get (I'm short) or group pictures at events with my head turned. One of the worst days in my life was when my son got married, not only because my baby was getting married but because I had to be in those darn pictures. I hear ya - I don't care for pictures either (rarely do i think i look good), but then i think of the time that i am no longer around and the kids will only have pictures of part our family (because i was always the one behind the camera). that is what gets me to try and do these family pics now - for the memories they will have forever. I hate to be morbid and I am not that old and my kids are still young 12 and 4 - but i am sure there will come a time when they won't want to stop to take pictures. Gotta soak it up while they are young.

You are already spending lots of money what's another little bit to get all the pics you want? Yes it's worth it!!

We have gotten Memory maker for all of our trips and I think it is worth it. We always come home with about 500 pictures!

Never was interested in getting Memory Maker until I got it with an Annual Pass so it came free. got the absolute best photos of my husband and me since our wedding 43 years ago, and so many incredible ones when I go on a girlfriends trip. on a 2 day trip to Disneyland last year, we also purchased it for a group of 10 of us and again incredible photos.

love the magic shots but so great to get them at the MNSSHP and MVMCP
