So my husband and son are planning on going to Disney from 6/30-7/1 and are wanting to stay at the All Star Movie Resort and buy two day one park tickets. The problem is taht on the Disney site when we put that they are 3 people staying in the hotel room it assumes that we want to buy 3 tickets, although my husband won't be going to the parks. He will most likely be golfing, swimming, or in DTD while my son and I are in the parks. Is there any way to do this so we have 3 in our hotel rooms but only 2 tickets?

Don't buy the tickets at the time you book the room.

Just buy your tickets when you arrive.

Book a room only reservation and buy your park tickets separately, either from Disney or in advance from a reputable vendor such as Undercover Tickets.

By trying to book a room and tickets it becomes a package and with a package everyone has to have the same tickets thus it keeps adding two day tickets for all 3 of you.

PPs are all correct, but wanted to point out that if you are trying to book under a discount, certain discounts require a package purchase in which case you'd either have to get DH tix or forego the discount.

true and may be the issue. Many people take advantage of package discounts that require tickets and hold them for later use. The tickets will continue to be valid and can be upgraded within 14 days of first use. So, if you plan to go back in a couple of years, the tickets can still be used.

I'm confused. You shouldn't be able to book online for next year yet.
