Trying to book the David's Vacation Club....

Hey all....not sure if this will be deleted or not but thought I would ask.
Trying to book BLT studio thru DVC for next May 2015. Accomidations are
available but they don't have enough BLT points from members to rent as of
yet. Apparently there are about 10 people in front of me. Do I have a chance
of getting this or should I be looking at other options?

First time doing this so just looking for some input.

That really is a how long is a piece of string question. It depends how many members want to rent their points. You are still more than 7 months out and all points are equal at 7 months and it isn't unheard of for BLT to have availability especially for 1 bedroom lake views at 7 months but to be honest no one can predict and it really depends

If you are renting less points than some of the others on the list, then there is chance you will leap frog over others in line. We rented through David's and since we were booking a studio we matched with an owner that was renting points sooner than those that wanted larger villas.

Members don't always decide to rent their points at the 11 month mark so more can be available later. Good luck.

I'd stick it out. May is one of the easier times to book at 7 months. There will still be lake view studios left at 7 months and then David will have lots more points available to use for what you want.

What other options would you be looking at? Renting privately? A different resort? Paying cash? How appealing are those other options to you?

For me, waiting to see if the resort I wanted would come through would be far worse than booking something else and having my plans set.

Hopefully, there are only two of you. The BLT studio is really very small. When the sleeper sofa is opened up, there is not much room to get around the villa. Almost no space between the two sleeping spaces, nor on the outside of them. You almost have to crawl over the foot of the bed.

FWIW it's me DW, DD7, DD6. We'll be fine with the room size.
