trying not to feel old

I guess what I am saying and the OP probably feels is that there is a feeling of ending when we feel we are too young to be having "endings". Some of my 40 something year old friends are just having babies now.

yep that's it. Several of my friends are just starting their families and the rest have houses full of kids, including my sisters who are close to my age. So it feels odd. Also, I"m a project type of person. For awhile my kids were my project, sort of. Now I need a new one. I have a couple. I'm working on starting a business and dh and I are buying a sail boat and learning to sail. Can't wait. Just sometimes I see my kids and miss that. My one son is seriously in love for the first time and I'm so happy for him but it got me thinking about all the first that are gone, first love, marriage, first child, etc.

I am 47 sitting here Disi'ng with a heating pad on my neck & shoulder!!!!!
The $ I use to spend partying is now being spent on Co-payments to Drs & Phys Therapy & Perscription Drugs!

Well, I think I can top everything so far...

My grandson is a 21 year old Marine corporal... and married!

Yup... grandson! I think I must have gotten married when I was 12...

So, where did all my youth go? I used it! And, I had a pretty good time in the process. Next step great grandfather, but I think I can wait a few more years for that. Life is good, though.
