What are the crowds like over mid Febuary? We are trying for a dead time after Christmas/New Years. We cannot, however, make it that first week or two right after the holidays. So we are considering around Valentines day? What are crowds like? We really want to try and hit dead time?

Thoughts/opinions?

Thanks!!!

January - mid-February would be considered a dead time. But you will run into crowds if your vacation is around President's Week...we made that mistake in 2001. We went this year Jan 20-30 and it wasn't crowded at all.

Good luck with your planning!!

The only thing about Valentine's Day is that it's usually around President's Day, and President's Day weekend tends to be pretty packed.

I know you said you can't go right after the holidays, but I love going the around the 4th or 5th of January. Maybe later in January?

Good luck!

we are booked for the 17th to the 26th of January and it seems like it will be slow.
I can still get seats at the popular table service spots and the seats on southwest are still cheap.

We're going January 24-30. I just booked last week and had no problem getting an AP discounted rate at POFQ, good prices on airfare w/Southwest ($49 each way without a DING), and all the ADRs I wanted.

I don't think any time of year is truly dead now, but it appears that late January shouldn't be too bad at all. We went at the same time last year, and with the exception of AK during the DVC/AP previews for Everest, all the parks were very uncrowded.
