Day 9, Part 2: We Are Having A Grand Time!

We took the monorail to TTC and hopped on a resort monorail, any guesses where we are heading?

Harsh. Let's move on!





If you said the Grand Floridian you were right!

I love the Grand, it is aesthetically my top Disney hotel.





DM has never been quite as keen, she always felt it was too formal and she wouldn't fit in. I never felt that way.

So convincing DM to stay here was a hard sell, but I did manage to squeeze in one night! Our room was ready when we checked in so we headed off to check it out.



We were in Big Pine Key and we had a lagoon view.

Such a nice room, and oh my gosh those beds were so comfy.

We called for our bags as we got settled in and took in the view.

After our bags were delivered we decided to have a wander around the resort.

Think it's time for a snack break!

I chose a very grown up snack:

Cookie and milk!

Then back to our resort tour!

I took a photo of the building I thought we would be staying in when we got the the Poly.

Spoiler alert this wasn't our building!

Look there is even a cool car!

We had an ADR for dinner so we headed back to our room to change.

Day 9, Part 3: If I Could Just Live Here That Would Be Great

Our ADR was for Narcoossees, and even though we were staying at GF and had toured around the rest we still got lost!

Finally we found it and checked in. Look at this:

Chocolate. All chocolate.

We had a little time before our table was ready so we hung out on the veranda.

Then it was time to eat! Woohoo! Mmmmm bread....

I got the fillet and some lobster:

Oh my goodness this was all sooooooooooooooo goooooood! DM got the fillet too but no lobster. And hold onto your hands as I have a photo of DM's dessert!

She had the almond cheesecake.

And I had the strawberry shortcake.

This was the best dessert I had the whole trip.

Once we finished eating it was time for fireworks, which we watched outside on the veranda. Are you ready for some more amazing photography?

To answer your question, yes I am available for all your photograph needs! We waddled our way back to our room, just enjoying how beautiful GF is at night.

We watched some TV in our super comfy beds before we both fell asleep. And so endeth day 9.

As an aside.... funny show. At least he was.

I did find a Halloween t-shirt, but I didn't take a photo of it.

Well, guess it’s time for lunch then! To Jurassic Park...I mean T-Rex!

So where were we headed? To our first ever MNSSHP!

Woot!!!

A lot of people left but we had faith, we would get on the ride! Except we didn't! They closed the ride.

well.... poop.

We spoke to a CM who said that pretty much no characters were meeting and all the special photo ops had been removed. She also said they would probably end up cancelling all the castle shows and Boo To You.

So... basically they canceled Halloween.

we had another party booked later in the trip

Thank goodness! because you haven't been yet!

Today was check out day of the Beach Club.

Poor Becca.

After that we had lunch at Electric Umbrella

Not only have I never eaten there.... I haven't even seen it and wouldn't know where to find it.

I also made another friend.

Good for you! Now you're up to 2!!!

Again I didn't share my food. He may have been offended.

He does have his nose in the air.

I had a little surprise for DM, I had booked us the Behind The Seeds Tour, which I was super stoked for.

I've actually heard good things about it, from several people.

I wonder where I get my amazing memory from?

I don't know? I forget.

Now prepare to be shocked as I do have photos of the Behind The Seeds Tour!

I always thought I'd feel that way about it, too, but then when we stayed there for one night last summer it didn't feel that way at all. We liked it so much that we're going back!

Beautiful!

And glad to hear you had such a great meal at Narcoosees, because it's on our itinerary for this summer, too!
