I wish they would get rid of them altogether.
In the old days if you knew how to tour you could get the jump on the masses. The average Joe goes on vacay at WDW and sleeps in.
Now that FP is here all I read and hear on DIS is how people complain about it. There's not enough Fastpasses, I want more in other parks on the same day.... Don't you realize that you are being given a gift of being able to go to the parks at a decent hour instead of waking up before the sun? You also can hit two parks a day by being at RD for the first and then FP for the second park.
I appreciate what WDW has done to make my trip better. :thanks:

I would be all in favor of this.

But, as long as they are going to have a FP system, I like being able to hit rope drop in one park and taking advantage of FP+ at a second park later in the day. And I like being able to choose my own times to use those FPs.

To each their own. Keep in mind that different touring styles don't always mesh well with FP+.

I completely agree with this too and have never said otherwise. Just like different touring styles didn't mesh with a system with no FP's and the paper FP system. But, we have enjoyed our trips to WDW under all 3 systems.

Yet some people continue to insist that if you prefer FP+ to paper FP you must be a paid member of Disney's FP+ PR team.

I would never claim something like that. I do believe that such people exist around here but not everyone of course. Also, there are the people who believe that Disney can do no wrong. I think that they are rare though.

I think that both sides argue for what simply works better for them. Personally, we did quite well following the touring plans in the UOG before there were fastpasses. The crowds are worse now of course but there are ways.

Also, there are the people who believe that Disney can do no wrong. I think that they are rare though....

And from the looks of these boards over the last few years, I think that group will soon been added to the list of endangered species.
