True non-transferability of park tickets

My mom passed and still had five days left on a no expiration ticket. I contacted Disney to see if we could transfer them for an upcoming trip, and was told no.

We booked a trip for 4 people, us and one other adult and her daughter. Unfortunately they cannot go anymore. We are going to update the hotel reservation and dining plan to another couple that is going with us instead. Would it be possible for her to use her magicband with her tickets since it hasn't been used yet?

f it's a package, you should be able to just change the names on everything. If they're separate tickets, you can easily transfer the tickets.

We had the old non expire tickets that were paper. We took them to guest relations and they had to reactivate them . When I said I couldn't remember which one was each persons because they didn't have names, they said it didn't matter. We had to reactivate them again with fingerprints so from now on that ticket would be applied to that person but since they were never activated with a fingerprint to begin with it didn't make any difference.

This is a little off topic, but I have old paper non expiration tickets I want to use only for water park this upcoming trip. Is there a guest relations at the water parks or will they have a way to do whatever is needed so we can use the tickets? I'd hate to take the bus to the water park only to have them send us somewhere else to exchange for plastic.

I'm not sure if you said they were already linked on your MDE account or not but I can tell you from personal experience you can reassign tickets that were used (old non expiring ones). Be persistent and either go to guest services in person with the ticket or call or email. I don't have it in front of me but there is an address to email about old tickets to find out how much is left on them. That is who I dealt with.

And no I didn't need a death certificate! That seems a little extreme! It's a theme park ticket not the contents of a safe deposit box! (If anyone has those anymore!!)

They will change them to the plastic tickets at the waterpark ticket window.

Aren't they still tied to the fingerprint? You may need to give their finger a chop.
