True Confession

<We were able to see it last April, the day before it closed for rehab. i can't wait to see it next trip (hopefully October!) >

We were there the last day too, it's one of my favorites (along with the Tiki Room) they both bring back wonderful memories

Have loved it since my first experience in 1964 at the NY World's Fair. So sad that it was closed when we visited in July. Hope that it is up and running for Easter.Have the song on cassette and cd. Feel very happy when I play it. Good song for our times.

My very first trip to WDW was on my 7th Bday and I remember this ride and wanted to share it with my family. Well it was closed last September so the DH and DD's haven't gotten to experience it yet but will this Sept!! :cheer2:

I Read It Is Going To Re Open March 17th .
I Love This Ride. Last Trip Oct 04 It Was Closed
Bohoo.
My 8 Month Old Loved The Music.

And I thought I was the only one old enough to remember the l964 Worlds Fair. I fell in love with Small World then and remain till this day.

Does anyone know when it reopens? Spring 2005 isn't too clear. :( We're going the end of April and I am really hoping that it will be open. :)

I am under the impression that it will be open by 5/5/05, when the Happiest Celebration "officially" begins.

Although he wouldn't admit it out loud, I think my DH cried when he found out IASW was closed when we went in Dec. Can't wait to see the refurbished ride in Sept.

Yep - I love IASW also. I'm hoping it'll be open by the end of April, I missed it in Oct last year....

Oh well, if not April, I'll see it in August

I think I can beat most of you. I first went on IASW in 1964 at the World's Fair in NYC. It always brings back fond memories for me and I never miss going on it at WDW

WOW..........its soooo cool to know there are a lot of "US" out here!!!!
Please add me to the list of the "Class of 64". In fact..it was the year I graduated HS??
Yes...the World's Fair..every weekend..and 18 too !! :faint: :faint:

On a more serious note: DH and I have taken mom on 4 WDW trips. She "Loved" IASW & @ times went 6 times in 1 day!
They are both passed now.... and as I ride thru alone..its very hard now to hold back the tears of great memories.

people don't stop playing because they have grown old...they have grown old because they have stopped playing !!

I got my daughter over her fear of ToT by constantly insisting that I was terrified of IASW but had overcome it. Said the dolls looked so vicious. She knew it was a joke but would still laugh. Pretty soon the other "scary" attractions were not as frightening.
