Dear DisneyWorld:
I have a confession to make: I cheated on you.
Last week I stepped out on you to court your older sister, Disneyland (or is it your mother? If so, ugh and ooh.). I know she is much much older than you, but I guess after all these years with you I was beginning to take our relationship for grantedlike an old pair of shoes, rather than like new glass slippers. I felt like some of our magic was missing. So I gave into temptation to experience an original fantasy (land).
I have to admit that DL and I had our magical momentsWorld of Color, Dinner at Carthay Circle, and lots of moonlit leisurely strolls between parks and to our hotel. (Unlike you, she didnt send me home on a crowded bus or a boat at the end of our evening together.) And the pace of our time together felt much more relaxed than the frenetic schedule you tend to demand.
Having said all that, I have to say that I missed youbadly! I longed for the acres and acres of magic you always offer me. We always have so many places to go and so many different things to experience. And, at the risk of sounding superficial, the castle at DL is a dwarf compared to yours!
I hope that this confession doesnt create any awkwardness between you and DL, but I thought it best to get this out in the open. You can be proud of what DL means to your family and all the nostalgia she offers. Shes classic and youre contemporarywhich is a nice family dynamic. You will always both hold a special place in my heart.
But truth be told, I prefer the magic we make together. Can you forgive me for this transgression? Can you let it go? Lets reunite soon. Perhaps we can even build a snowman together!
Love,
Fargoman2
