Trouble with ADR on 4/1?

Anyone else have problems making reservations this morning (4/1)?

I am tying to make one reservation at DS for 5/31, and am not able to get the reservation to go through. The error message I get is that they cannot add my credit card to the reservation. I have tried multiple browers on my computer, MDE on my phone, different credit cards, screaming, etc. and get the same results every time.

Been working online since 6 am EDT, and called Disney Dining at exactly 7 am EDT (been on hold for 50 minutes).

Just wondering if this was a problem with just me, or if others are struggling as well.

Tomorrow is the start of our onsite stay, and I really hope I do not have these problems when I am trying to book our entire trip!
 
I just tried for lunch at biergarten for 2 on 5/31 via app on phone and was able to.

Glad it worked. I can’t figure out what is wrong on my end.

I’ve tried deleting and re-adding different credit cards, different computers, the app on my phone. Nothing works. I just tried again and same problem.

i did finally get through to the dining number and got our reservation for 5/31 that we wanted. Really need to figure out what is up before tomorrow morning though when I need to make the rest of our ADRs.
 
Clear the browser cookies and whatnot. Or try booking on phone app. Maybe try now for 5/31 (book like 2 hours away from the one you already have...book and then cancel, just to see if phone app works).

Thanks for the suggestion. I've actually tried the phone app as well, same issue. And clearing cookies, shutting down and restarting, etc.

On the app, I can get all the way to the point where I pick the time, agree to the terms and conditions, and click "Book Now". I get an error saying "Please Try Again, We're having trouble loading this screen."

On my PC (two laptops at home and my desktop at work - trying both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome), I get to the "Payment" page and enter the Payment Method (tried using the card stored in profile and using another card), and when I click "Next" I get "There was an error adding the credit card to this reservation. Please try again or call (407) 824-1391 for assistance."

As I said, I was able to book by calling in (and being on hold for an hour), so today is not super urgent. However, I really need to get this figured out before tomorrow. I will try calling again when I get time and see if they can figure out the issue. Hoping that someone on here has had similar problems and figured out the fix. I'm sure it is something screwy with my account - just can't figure it out.

For Disney Springs, is it one that is available on Open Table? That would eliminate the problem for those restaurants. (I know not all of them are on Open Table).

Although I feel bad that someone else is experiencing this - it actually does make me feel a little better to know that I am not the only one...

I will post an update if I am able to get this fixed. I'm on hold with Disney right now to see if they can figure out how to fix it.
 
Just out of curiosity, I set up a dummy account using a work email address to see if I had the same problems there. I did. Makes me think the issue is most likely a glitch on Disney's end, and not some weird setting or issue in my MDE account.

Meanwhile, just passed the 100 minute mark of being on hold with Disney to try and figure out what is going on...

Seems like lots of people with the same problem. My ADR day is tomorrow morning I am so grateful you posted there seems to be a problem. I just hope it gets fixed soon...good luck

Yeah, my big day is tomorrow as well. We are staying offsite our first night - so I just had one ADR to make today. Then 8 days worth tomorrow.

FYI - I had no problem with calling in (other than waiting on hold for 45 minutes). So definitely try that if you have no luck online tomorrow morning.

Correct, phone line opens at 7:00 eastern.

I'm not aware of any downside, other than not having all of your information at your fingertips in MDE. Which is not a huge deal. I've never used Open Table at WDW, but have used it locally and it is quick and easy to use.

I have found that Disney has better availability for the Boathouse on 5/31 than Open Table, but have not looked beyond that. I'm trying to get my lunch reservation pushed back to an early dinner, and MDE consistently shows several times between 4:00 and 5:00, where open table shows nothing past 3:30 pm.

There is often availability on OT even when Disney's system doesn't have it. They only release so many reservations to Disney.

Big advantage is for most of them (Raglan Road is an exception), they don't require the credit card to guarantee it and their cancellation policy is much more generous (even last-minute).
 
Not sure how the others with this problem faired; however, this morning I was able to go-ahead and make all my "on-site" (resorts/parks) reservations using the app/desktop without issue. Turns out the only ones glitching (for me) were the Disney Springs located restaurants. For those I ended up using Open Table. I went back this evening and tried again via Disney still without luck... Disney Spring locations are still not working for me (through the app and/or desktop)... but Open Table seems fine for booking those. Unfortunately, they're just not part of "My Plans"... (linking reservations doesn't work either).

I was able to book a couple of restaurants I couldn't get on the Disney site. I wish I would have know that on our last trip. We stayed at Saratoga and ate in Disney Springs every night.
