Trouble in DTD

:rotfl:

I suppose the rainy day reason is a good enough one. And I often forget about locals (sorry Orlando-ians!). We shall see ... in the meantime:

They should have the Dapper Dans in to sing "Lida Rose"!

Lida Rose I'm home again Rose
without a sweetheart to my name ... :rolleyes1
Before my mom died, I took her to WDW. The Dapper Dans stopped and asked her if she had a request and proceeded to sing that for her.

She was thrilled. Told everyone about it. 90% of them couldn't have cared less, but she didn't stop being happy to talk about it.

It is actually one of my most favorite memories, how happy she was that they asked her and stood and looked at her while they sang much of it. She was beaming the whole time.

I wonder if they have any idea how much she loved that...how happy they make people. I hope so.

And in keeping with the theme of this thread, dare I say, "Balzac."

LOL

Also will the kids start buckling their knickerbockers below the knees.

Also a bowling alley could be something to do after the parks close for the day

This might fit the entertainment bill for some folks, but probably not for me. Splitsville is expensive, imo. However, it will bring some adult-only fun back to DTD as kids aren't allowed after 8 or 9.

At the Tampa location. Do you think they will be able to carry this policy over (and the dress code) over to DTD? I guess we will see shortly.

I'm not interested in bowling or pool there because I could do it at home if I wanted but what concerns me is the extra crowds.

I remember how bad it could get on Friday/Saturday nights when PI was open. If it gets like that again, it will affect my going to DTD on my solo trips. For sure there would be no more evenings at DTD - I'd only go during the daytime if I decided it was worth going there over being in a park.

I'm sure some people will be happy to see it open - I'm just not one of them.

I'm not seeing this as being so big that it would affect crowds in the rest of DTD. :surfweb:

I don't think that it will make DTD more crowded. It already is. Most of the time you can't even get into the main parking lot. However, It might give the crowds someplace else to go.

WRONG ELEMENT! WRONG ELEMENT! Better close the place down!!
