Tropicana vs Castle

Hi All!

I am planning our June trip to DL and I booked Tropicana for 4 nights since we had a nice stay back in October and I loved the location and yet still quiet (although our room was towards the back of the property). This time my mom is coming with us and she was discussing the Castle Inn. I have never been, the cost (we get military rate) is comparable except Castle does not have the crazy high parking fee.

My main question is what is the difference in walking to and from the parks? I think from our room at Trop back in October to the gate was maybe 8-10 minutes? Is Castle more than 5-10 more? We have a 2 year old who, while is very well mannered, can be a bit of a bear when it's nap time (as is mama bear) and I would prefer to have as little of a walk as possible when going to and from DLR.

We have stayed at both and I would always stay at the Tropicana id it is in the same price range.

If it takes you 10 mins from the Tropicana then the Castle Inn and Suites will be at least another 10 mins.

Thanks for the response! 10 mins is a big deal to me when I have an almost 3 year old along with a stroller and other various items. Think I'll stick with the Trop and have whoever comes with us split the cost of the parking fee.
