Great timing. I'm taking DD to Tallahassee for her FSU orientation. We leave tomorrow. She has orientation Monday and Tuesday. I hope it keeps its current track. If it should go further west, it will be very soggy walking around that campus!

Great timing for me. We are driving down on the 19th. Looks like we will miss it.

I am really not ready for hurricane season. I feel like I just got over the last one.

Glad we installed the hurricane shutters on the lanai when we left Vero last week. It's too early in the season for this. :sad1:

reading the advisory, this is just the thing we need around here right now, a heavy rainfall dumper, but alas the high over the area is going to push this florida's way and up the eastern seaboard, maybe it will rain again someday.
i notice that things are about a week behind last year's pace, so maybe that is good news, and this is not developing very rapidly and seems to be poorly organized so: pixiedust: for those of you in the path.

Since this one will be called Alberto I hope it does not turn into anything bad. Back in 1994 a Tropical Storm called Alberto stalled over south GA for DAYS and lots of terrible flooding took place and many lives were lost. Our house alone had over 8 feet of water. We lived in a FEMA camper for over a year trying to get our house rebuilt. We later sold our house to FEMA and moved to another community but if we have any more flooding we should stay dry but will be cut off from town because we would have to cross at least one bridge any direction we would want to go.I am not thrilled with the path that it seems to be taking.

Since it is not forecast to stall, I will say at this point it would be a God-send if a tropical depression/storm traveled over Florida. We are sooo in need of rain. I think the state is going to burn down if we don't get a few day-long drenchings.

We're due to arrive in orlando at 2:30 monday afternoon. I'm happy for the rain.....they sure need it with all the fires lately. I'm secretly hoping it doesn't ruin our first ever trip to see the mouse though!
