Tropical Depression 5

It's official. The National weather service has named that storm off the east coast of Florida as Tropical Depression 5.

They are anticipating that it will move up the coast to Georgia and the Carolina's.

They say there will be an update within the hour. I imagine the sea must be pretty rough right now.

Could explain all the dark skies over the port this afternoon............as long as the cruise ship can miss it and cause any diversions

The center of the storm is currently 150 miles ESE of Daytona Beach. I have not heard a report on how far from the center the winds extend. Does anyone know how closely to the coast that the Wonder can sail until it gets below the storm???

if you look at the radar screen on the port cam it shows the coastline clear, but when they turn to go to the Bahama's it looks like they will catch it.
