I've cruised with Disney several times, but I've never gone to the Tropical Deck Party or buffet. I'd like to be able to tell my guests what to expect, but I don't have any firsthand experience to share.

I'm especially interested in knowing if people dress "tropically" for it.

If anyone could enlighten me a little, I'd appreciate it.

We were on the Wonder in Feb and the tropical Deck party was simply a lot of buffet tables set up with food on the deck where the pools are and dancing etc. on the family pool deck led by the Characters and singers. People seemed to be dressed in all manners, nothing specific. We went in the clothes we had worn to dinner earlier that evening.

I will say my 6 year old DD loved it. She danced the whole time, we all had fun just standing back and watching her.

Our tropical deck party was moved into the atrium since it had been raining all evening. We weren't there for the beginning of it, but DD and I had a blast. I would have loved to stay longer, but she was getting really tired. My favorite part was when the guys were all on one side and girls on the other and we were singing "Summer Lovin' " from Grease. :) I am not sure what everyone else was wearing, we just had on the same stuff from dinner.
