Is anyone purchasing TRON, which will be released Tuesday, April 5? Disney Movie Rewards has a $5 coupon, but it's only good on the 4 disk blu-ray combo pack or the 5 disc 2 movie collection.

The Tron/Tron Legacy 5-disc pack is marked down to $49.99 on the Best Buy website ... not a terrible deal for both movies with the coupon.

The Target deal has $8 off when you buy both the original (Tron Classic) and the new version. The original classic BR/DVD combo is 19.99, the 4 Disc 3-D/BR/DVD is 24.99, so:

(it says that the coupon can't be combined with the $8 offer so YMMV on if your Target will do it or not)

I might look at doing this deal. We went to see TRON but, since none of us had seen the original, we weren't really that into it. I DO like that kind of movie, though, so I enjoyed it....just wished I'd been able to get my hands on a copy of the original to watch beforehand. Of course, something tells me MY Target won't let me stack the deal If anyone does it, please post the results!!

It should be noted that the Target ad doesn't require purchase of the 3-D version. In other words, one can purchase the Blu-ray/DVD combo of both movies, and still get the $8 discount added at the register, making both movies $32, plus tax (you still can't use the Disney-issued coupon for this promotion).

I was able to use the $5 off DMR coupon on the Target deal without a problem. I got the 4 disc Tron Legacy for $24.99 and the 2 disc Tron Classic for $19.99. When they were rung up, the Tron Legacy rang up at $24.99 and the Tron Classic rang up as $11.99 (the instant $8 off). Then I used the $5 DMR coupon. It wasn't a problem. I was even able to use a Bunny Money coupon for $5 off any Disney Blu Ray $24.99 or higher since that was the price for the 4 pack of Legacy.

Also, they are giving double points on DMR for Tron Legacy today only--the 4 disc is ually 200 points, so I got 400 for it today. Tron Classic was only the regular 125 points, no doubling.
