Trivial things you hate about your home?

I would say a small bathroom

Foyer coat closet is so tiny. Dumb, the size of house relation to size of family who would live here, and that people own a few coats?!?! We ended up using a small pantry closet for the other half of our coats. My 1920 house had a bigger closet and the 1970 I "grew" up in had two closets both double size of this one. Can you tell it really is a peeve for me?

Trivial - whole house is too small. Small bathrooms, closets, living room.
Major - foundation problems and leaky basement being repaired in the Spring which will cost $60,000.
But still feel fortunate that we have our own home, and it’s a mansion compared to many in the world.

First world problem for sure, only a two car garage. And we have had at least 3 cars since 1986.

None of the light switches are the same height. We didn't really realize it till we started to put up a chair rail... and no matter where you'd put it, you'd run into a lightwitch. There's probably 8" difference between the lowest and the highest (you'd think the height would be standard, wouldn't you?)

Trivial... because the switches are all accessible and they work... but now I can't "unsee" it now that I know.

Our two car garage is too short to fit even one car. I count it as trivial as the reason it is too short is that it was shortened by 6-7 feet to add on a huge Family Room (20x20) that is the reason we bought the house. This makes the garage a large storage space which we abuse.

I could go on and on. We live in a at least a 170+ year old house. We don’t know how old the original section is. It sold for 10 grand back in 1979 and was completed gutted. Of course we didn’t have much money so most things were done cheaply. But the front porch still isn’t done after nearly 5 years. I have no back porch or deck. Just 2 giant concrete steps. I hate my kitchen cabinets. My dad built the lower ones and believe me he was not a carpenter. The uppers are just cheap prefab ones. We have no upstairs bathroom and that’s where the only 2 bedrooms are. The basement isn’t finished. The garage is detached. The only bathroom we have is super small. I have never had any landscaping whatsoever. Had my not yet husband told me that I’d still be waiting for this house to be done when I was 60 I might have said “See ya”.

The upstairs bathroom, which is the one I use because it's right next to my bedroom is painted red and black with white trim. It's like getting ready or using the facilities inside a giant Pokeball. I hate it.
