100% yes, and I still use my old college calculator with faded evidence of math formulas I wrote on it to prove it

This brought back core college memories where different professors - teaching the exact same class - would have wildly different rules around formulas.

Some would encourage students to come to class with a list of all formulas for reference and others would swear that memorizing was essential since you couldn’t rely on ‘looking things up’ at our future jobs. Makes me LOL just thinking about the ridiculous of it all.

Sooooo as an adult who literally looks things up all day long, I’m gonna give college you a pass (even though I get that it may be cheating on a technicality! )

In grade school we played a game in class called 7 Up, where seven kids would circulate through class and the rest of us would sit with our heads down on our desks and have our fist on the desk with a thumb up. Each of the seven would push one kid’s thumb down, and the seven kids who got picked would try to guess which kid pushed their thumb down. I figured out that if I kept my head down I could see the shoes of the kid who pushed my thumb down, and therefore “guess” who did it. I may or may not have done that once or twice. Or more. Or not.
