I thought wicked had had its day also-but maybe it WAS just a NorthEast thing.
Then again maybe the kids are putting a different inflection on it or something-heaven help us if we old (20-something!) fogeys were ever known to say anything cool.
LOL! Well I'm officially 30 now....really really old But you know down here in Mississippi we are always behind on everything so it might just be getting to us.
ROFL!!!! Thats like a wicked normal word up here. In fact my best friend moved to Rochester NY about 8 years ago. A few years later I was talking to her and said "wicked". She cracked up laughing saying she hadnt heard that word in years.
The new word up here is "trippin" as in... My peeps(friends) are trippin. My niece informed us of the cool launguage while we were on our WDW trip in August.
I live on Long Island, and by no means is that the "new" word.
(then again, im 17, we don't really pay attention to that whole new slang thing now)
I just came back from Boston yesterday (looking at colleges AHH!) and "wicked" was everywhere.
I always consider that a Boston word. My best friend goes to college like 10 minutes outside of Boston and he says wicked all the time now. I came home saying it making fun of everything. Such a Boston thing....
