Trips Starts in 14 days and NO DOCUMENTS from TRAVEL AGENT!!

We leave in 9 days and I still don't have the ME documents and one set of documents for our rooms. We have 3 rooms booked and I received packets on 2 of them. TA said our ME stuff should be coming separately from ME. I called them the other day and I was told they had not received our flight info from the travel agent until 9/1 and they hadn't been mailed out yet.

Yesterday, two days later, I called ME to see if they had mailed them yet. This CM said that the ME documents were MAILED on 9/1, 10:30 am to be exact, to our TA. I emailed the TA last night but haven't heard anything yet.

I'm sure everything will work out one way or the other, but I'd like to have everything in hand by now.

Well I am an agent and Disney "promises" documents 2 weeks out but we more often get them pretty soon after the 45 day mark for package payment due dates. DME documents often come earlier. I always deliver documents within 24 hours of receipt and if I'm mailing them out they go certified with delivery receipt. Your confirmation number for your vacation should always be listed on the invoice the agency provides to you, though.

That said - you don't need a single document to check in nor do you need DME documentation. I had a client earlier this year forget to bring their documents! Proper ID at check in gave them all their package components and they were able to use DME with no issues.

But if the Magical Express luggage tags don't show up, doesn't that mean we now have to collect our luggage @ MCO or at least find the ME desk and give them our claim numbers for the luggage? I just loved the thought of checking our bags @ our home airport and not thinking about them again until they arrive in our room.

No reason to be sad... When you get to the ME desk to check in, just tell them you didn't get your ME tags and they will ask for your luggage claim numbers (should be attached to your airline tickets) and get your luggage for you.

We've even had luggage rerouted by the airlines mistake to different airports in florida WITHOUT ME TAGS, and they still showed up in our rooms!
