can anyone recommend a good and small tripod?? I didn't have time to buy one before i went to FL and now I am going to disneyland and I know I need one for the fireworks???

I forgot which one people recomended that wraps around things??

i think you are thinking of the gorilla pod...the manufacturer is joby i believe. don't have one but some seem to like it. i just bought a giotto tripod mt series i really like so far but they cost more than the gorillapod.( hpmanufacturing is the website for giotto in the us if you want to see them)

How small is small? The gorillapod is a popular option for an itty-bitty tripod, but it's so small that it needs to be put on something. For a small packing, ground standing tripod, I like the Gitzo GT1550T.

The GorillaPod works well but is only about a foot tall.
For a carry around tripod I like Velbon's Maxi 347 series. Like some other things, tripods have three main characteristics: sturdiness; size & weight; price.
You can pick two of these and the third falls where it may, which is another way of saying there is no sturdy, small, inexpensive tripod. :)
