Emily (Me!): Hi! I'm Emily, the baby of the family. I'll be turning 13 on this trip!:) I just started competitive cheerleading after quitting 7 years of competitive gymnastics! :thumbsup2

Jessie: This is my 14-year-old sister, Jessie. She plays soccer and a little bit of dance here and there.

Mom&Dad: No pic for mom and dad, sorry! Mom is the Disney planning extraordinaire; she knows everything there is to know! Dad loves Disney, but not as much as me and Mom. :)

We'll be in WDW from August 3rd-August 13th. :woohoo: We're going to be staying at the Hilton from the 4th-8th (with one night of Royal Pacific in Universal Studios on the 6th [My BIRTHDAY!:thumbsup2] )and then the Wilderness Lodge from the 8th-13th.

These are our plans so far for our stay!

August 3rd: Arrival Day! :)This might be Animal Kingdom day? I'm not sure.
August 4th: Animal Kingdom
Rainforest Cafe - 7:00
August 5th: EPCOT
August 6th: Magic Kingdom (BIRTHDAY!:goodvibes)
Crystal Palace - 1:00
August 7th: Universal (Both parks in 1 day! Staying at Royal Pacific - 1 night)
August 8th: Relax Day - Switching from Hilton to WL
This is how I planned the next few days - based on touringplans.com crowd calendar:
August 9th: EPCOT (maybe late to get there and then staying until closing)
August 10th: Animal Kingdom (probably mid-day break)
August 11th: Magic Kingdom
August 12th: Hollywood Studios (It is a park to avoid that day, so this may be switched.)
August 13th: EPCOT (I don't know when we're leaving, so we might not be able to get to the parks.:()

Please tell me if you see anything that's not a good idea! Thanks! :)

I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THE PICTURES IN THIS POST OR THE TWO AFTER!! (in order of post, not table of contents.)

Getting There
We decided not to fly this year. :sad1: But that's okay, because we're not driving all the way down.:yay: We're driving to Lorton, VA and getting on the Autotrain!

YAAY!:worship: We'll be on that 17 1/2 hours. :scared1: so we're going to sleep on the way and wake up in DISNEY!:yay:

Where We're Staying
This trip is gonna be a split stay! From August 4th-August 7th we'll be at the Hilton. It's the only non-Disney-owned hotel tht still gets the same perks as onsite resorts.:thumbsup2 My dad travels a lot, so we get these nights for free!:cool1:

We're sleeping at the Universal Studios Royal Pacific on the night of the 6th to enjoy the perks of staying onsite at the parks.(without leaving the Hilton!):rotfl2:

Hi Emily! :wave2: I'll enjoy reading along. My oldest child just turned 13, so it will be interesting to see the planning and trip from your perspective!

I am also interested in hearing about the autotrain. On our last WDW trip (Jan 2009) we lived very close to Lorton and I looked into taking the autotrain, but we ended up not doing it. I think it sounds neat.

Hi Emily! :goodvibes
We'll be in WDW the same time :thumbsup2

Hi guys! :goodvibes Well, StephaniexMarie, great minds think alike!! :thumbsup2:laughing: And I will be sure to write about the autotrain in my TR. I'm pretty excited, I dont remember the last time I was on a train! :)

Hello All! :)

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. :sad1: This summer's been busy already!

Today I'm posting pictures from our May and November trips. Or maybe it's just one of them, I can't remember...:headache::laughing:

I'm in!!!! I'm 14, so I'm glad to see another teen around here! Also, I did gymnastics for a long time too (11 years)! Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

I just started reading your PTR and your trip looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun! I hope you decide to do a TR for it:)

Its cool to read TRs and such from teen perspective (another teen here!)

Yeah, not all of it was competitive obviously (I would have started competing at age 3!). What level did you compete?

I competed level 8 my last year. It was TOUGH. What did you compete?

And yes, I'm going to do a TR! :woohoo: It looks like fun, and hopefully will cheer me up after we come home. :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, and consumes your life! I couldn't do any other sports because of how much I was in the gym.

Same with me. I gave it up so I could try out some other sports and focus more on dance and track. Lately I've been regretting my decision to quit, but at this point, I don't think I could go back to it. :(

Oh, really? :sad1: I'm not regretting it at all. :lmao: I'm also a dancer! I've been dancing since I was 3! I couldn't do it last year because of gymnastics but picking it back up this year. And I did track for my school, but didn't love it. How weird is that? We do/have done all of the same sports!! :D

Well, what I regret is leaving my gym friends. All it takes to make me happy with my desicion again is to go online and look at the team schedule! I've been dancing since I was 3 too! That's really weird how much we have in common! What types of dance do you do?
