Hi, team...
Slow week for me, partly due to recovery from the triathlon, partly due to travel/work, partly due to LTO and my heart really isn't in it right now.

Swim: 400 yds/:10
Bike + Run: 10.4 miles and 2.4 miles/1:10
Total 13.03 miles/1:20

I did get in a nice bike ride yesterday. Still on the road.

Hope to hear from some more folks!! Blizzard, cohoe, Tricia, Liz....where are you??:flower3:

Dave, this was a great ride. There were a few times I was wishing it was over, even the most comfortable seat begins to be not so comfortable after a certain point....

Here is a link to it:

Hey Team! Just wanted to do a quick flyby and post what has been going on for the last several months. Most may have already figured it out but just in case. After 16 years of marriage, I have asked for a divorce from my wife. I have been battling about doing this for the last several years and have finally done it. Paperwork is already worked up and now she is dragging her feet about signing. Very frustrating. I know it has affected my captaining around here and I do apologize for that. I will also say that I am very thankful for everyone of you that have prayed for me in the last several weeks. I have been able to feel each one.

Again, I thank you all for your thoughts. All will be fine here. It is for the best. It will make us both stronger.

I do hope that all of you are having a great week and I look forward to talking to you again real soon.

:grouphug: I'm so sorry to hear Bubba! I know it's for the best but it's still a tough thing to go through for anyone. Know that we're here if you ever need anything, even just to babble and vent!

:grouphug:Never an easy decision, I wish you the best.:grouphug:

Hey there Duckies!!

Just Warrior Tracy (the keeper of teams miles and times) stopping by:

Popping in with a end of the month reminder....

1. Please start a new thread for next month.
2. On the first post of the new month, place your teams total miles and times for your team. July thread will have June's numbers.
3. Post on that thread if the totals include everyone from your team or if you are missing some. I will keep checking that first post until you say you have pretty much everyones numbers.

Thanks so much!!:thumbsup2

Then when I have every teams numbers I will update the teams totals thread!!

Thanks in advance for everyones help with this!!

WISHers ROCK!!!

Well, I was too crazed with packing to get my long run in today as I had hoped! I guess that was asking too much. This does put me officially a week behind in my training, but that's OK!

I did get two good, if short, runs in earlier in the week so I do have some miles & hours to report:

Miles: 6.3
Minutes: 85

Our flight leaves at 9pm, and we're in pretty good shape to get there with time to spare! As I said before, I hope to get one run done in London, and one in Paris! I'll take lots of photos. Have a great 10 days while I'm gone!

Kira, Have a great trip!

For the week ending June 30 I have a total of 14 miles and 320 minutes.

I'm still missing my numbers from last week. My hard drive from the computer it was on crashed and I don't have everything recovered yet. As soon as I can, I will post last weeks numbers.

Have a great week Triple D's!!!!

The mixer starts here on the 'Ohana thread.

:stitch:'Ohana Monday Mixer:stitch:

Ah, it's summer. The 4th of July is right around the corner. Summer always strikes me as the time for family vacations and road trips. And I'm sure many of us who are traveling are either participating in races--and :worship: to those of you doing events in the summer heat--or we're continuing to train. So...these random thoughts made me think about the challenges of traveling for WISHers, whether traveling to an event or for other reasons.

This week's mixer asks you to share your best tips and strategies for traveling. We're interested in all things related to staying active on the road, from packing your gear to what kind of exercise you prioritize while squeezed for time and in unfamiliar territory.

A sampling of possible questions: What are the must-brings? How much to pack? How to pack your gear--tips and mistakes to avoid? How to best deal with bulky shoes and stinky clothes? What kind of XT do you do while away from home--do you have anything you bring with you?? What about your guidelines for running/walking in areas with which you're unfamiliar?

I'll probably ask a race-specific traveling question closer to January, but tips on race packing are always appreciated. And those of you who are on the road frequently, for business or pleasure, your expertise is much appreciated. :thumbsup2

The weeks end on June 21, and then on June 30.
Kira, have a great trip!

Hello, 3D's! Almost a new month, so, Happy July. Four day weekend coming up!

Here is my mileage for the last week (and two days) of the month. All biking, I have to get out and do a some running soon. My time is 16 hours, 40 minutes, and my mileage is 195 miles. 30 of those miles are from a 15 mile bike race. A very wet race. There is an ongoing summer event here called the Friday Night Races. It is held on Friday night, at a nearby college, and run by a local shop. It is laps around the perimeter road, which is almost 2 miles. Either 10, 15, or 20 laps, depending on your class. Last week was team time trials, with two or (mostly) three man teams going off every five minutes for 8 laps. During sign up and warmups the sun was out and it was a beautiful night. Shortly before the first team went off the wind picked up and it began to get cloudy. By the time the third team started it was lightly raining. By the time the sixth team went off it was raining pretty steadily. The seventh team opted to not go, and we were the eighth team. Three laps into it there were a few flashes of lightening in the distance, and by the seventh lap the rain was leting up. But we were pretty soaked by this point, and I was glad to finish.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Enjoy the holiday, and be safe!

Augie

My totals for June 22 - June 30 are

Distance: 23 Miles (10 Miles Biking)
Time: 173 Minutes

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend.
