Triple D's February Challenge - The Wait is Finally Over!!

I tried again from another computer and I'm in. There's a Sign in link in the upper right. I did not. Works for me!

Thanks.

Trace:wave2: Always good to have a visit from the Warriors.

Team We had a phenominal week last week. Well over 600 miles and we still have a few that have not posted their mileage. That is fantastic.

It has come to my attention that no one has done a quote for a while so I will.

"Why do I stand here on my desk?
To feel taller.
No! Thank you for playing. I stand here to remind myself that there are always different ways of looking at things. See the room looks very different from up here. Don't believe me. Come up. Come on up and try it." (I love this movie but I think I paraphrased just a little.)

Happy training!
Bryan

Hi everyone - I am still around just haven't been around here. I have been spending more time on the Princess 1/2 marathon thread. Sorry. I don't have my numbers together yet (I have been training but didn't do very good at writing it all down. I did do a 5k 2 weeks ago and had my fastest time EVER.

I have really got to run or I will be late so I hope everyone has a great Thursday

Tricia...just post when you can! Or, send a total at the end of the month, if that works better for you.

Congrats on the 5K PR! That so rocks! I saw your RR on the other thread. :goodvibes

good luck at the Princess race!

Hi everyone! :wave2:

Sorry that I've been MIA again. I am having the hardest time keeping up with the boards lately - I'm afraid that my Facebook addiction is getting in the way, not to mention having a ton of new work coming in!

I do have some miles/minutes for 2/8-2/14:
Miles - 5.5
Minutes - 68

If all goes well (and I don't miss my workout tomorrow, which I have no intention of doing!) I will be back up to my 3 times/week routine at the end of this week. Then I can start building my mileage up again.

I'm not going to be very good at the movie quotes game I'm sorry to say. I've seen a lot of movies in my life, but the details just don't stay with me. I'm enjoying watching everyone else play though.

I'll be back in the next couple of days to post my miles & minutes for the past week - I promise!

And Bryan - way to go with finishing that race, and being such an inspiring leader!!! Great job on the PR!

Sorry, guys...I was playing with the spreadsheet, so the link is different now.
You should still have viewing access to it. :goodvibes

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=py8_U1Ts1fqAolT3qxzQfKA&hl=en

The colored lines were mostly put because I needed something to help me keep track of the adding functions going across for the running totals.
So, if you don't like your color or lack thereof, it's nothing personal. I could change it if you like.

There is the weekly total for the team at the bottom of the columns, and each teammate's running totals on the right, with grand totals at the bottom on the right.

I'm still learning spreadsheets, and probably do too much by hand, but I'm working on it! :goodvibes

Kira Thank you for the very kind words. I have to be honest though. It is all of you, The Triple D's, that got me through when I wanted to stop. I know no one would have thought less of me if I had caved in but I couldn't do that. I called each and everyone of your names out as motivation. So with that being said, let me say Thank You!

Tracy Ding! Ding! Ding! You picked a winner. You know I can only hope to inspire people the way that Robin Williams did the class in that movie.:grouphug:

Tricia We understand that you are getting ready for the Princess race. That's great! I know I will be rooting for you and all of our Princesses here on the boards to do your best. Just don't be surprised if you stay away for a while, you may get a PM from me to make sure that all is well. Good luck on the race! Oh and congrats on the PR!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Update Today was the first day back at the gym. I was able to spend an hour working on my shoulders and then an hour's worth of cardio. Staying off the TM and the elliptical for a little bit longer as I still have a blister on my foot so I got on the bike. (If anyone knows of a bike that I can get and actually be able to ride, please let me know. I would much rather be able to get outside and ride then stay inside and watch a little 9" tv when I ride.) I am hoping that I can get back in tomorrow when I get off work but on Fridays they close the door early and my key still doesn't work. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Here comes the weekend everyone! Let's have some fun!:cheer2: :cheer2: :grouphug: :woohoo:
Bryan

Hi Team:wave2: Sorry I am so slow reporting my totals--and sorry there isn't much to report--week ending 2/14--10 miles and 4.5 hours. I hope I will be able to be more of an asset to the team when the weather warms up. I'm getting tired of the treadmill--ready for SPRING:flower3:

:stitch2: Monday Mixers w/ Team 'Ohana :stitch2:

I thought I'd let the DDDs know that Team 'Ohana is inviting their WISH family to come visit its thread on Mondays. We thought this would be a good way for people on the teams/threads to get to know other WISHers better. Plus, 'Ohana like to think we know how to throw a party and we always like new guests! The drinks are free, if virtual, and no one will tell you when you've had enough. :upsidedow

I'll post a reminder on Monday, with a loose question/discussion topic to get the conversations going. There's no need to stick to the topic, of course, as it's really your sparking, non-alcoholic but still intoxicating presence that is requested. So, if you have a little time for socializing with your cousins, please stop by 'Ohana on Monday! :goodvibes

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!

Hey, Bryan, can you update the link for the spreadsheet on your first post page? I reloaded the spreadsheet yesterday and it changed the link. :)

Hey everyone! I'm actually going away tomorrow for the week so I'm gonna post my new numbers for Week 3 in feb!

See you next Sunday! I'll try working out a little on vaca :)

Hi all.

2/15-2/21 - 6.5 hours, 33 miles

C25K is going well. Finished week three this week and begin week 4 Monday. I've made my own playlist/music. We'll see ; )

The house smells great this afternoon. Apple pie in the oven.

Hi all.

Today was a great day we made ressie for the Disney Marathon Weekend.  Dw and I will be running the 5K on Friday and I will be running the Half also. We will be staying at Beach Club and look forward to meeting hopefully many Ducks.

Kira Will talk to you about philly will be there for three days in April staying downtown to get the historic feel with the kids. I will definately pick your brain about where to eat and other advice.

Betsy thanks for the great speadsheet and all your hard work.

Jenn have a great trip.

Great miles from everyone.

Miles for Feb 14-21

Running
52.5 miles
9.25 hours

Biking
110 miles
9 hours

core training 2 hours.

Have a great weekend and be safe out there. Rich

P.S who up on the movie Quote otherwise Bryan do the honors.

Is it Saturday already?? Where did the week go and how does Rich do so much every single week?:worship: :worship: Everyone is doing awesome and all I can say is that I am very jealous of Jenn being able to go on vacation. I want to go on one too. The closest I am coming to one is I just asked to have my birthday off. I have worked every birthday since I was old enough to work. I figured it was time for me to take one day off for me. (More than likely, I will go for a run or a long bike ride that day anyway. Maybe a hike if the weather is nice enough?)

Totals My totals are down after the half that I did as I have been nursing that pesky blister on the bottom of my foot. I am hoping that will go away very soon so I can get back out and run some to train for my next race. So this week's totals are:
Miles - 70 miles
Hours - 8.5 hours

Quote Rich wants a quote and I am more than happy to oblige so here you all go! A team is not a team if you don't give a da** about one another!

Betsy This time I got your name right!!:lmao: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your help with the spreadsheet. I have updated the url on the first page so hopefully anyone that wants to check it out will be able too.

Keep it up everyone and remember one very important truth! Triple D's ROCK!!!:woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

My totals...
well, I didn't get as much done as was on the training plan...going to WDW threw me off (and I took a couple of days to chill after I got back).

What I did accomplish:
Bike: 51.8 miles/3:30 hours
Run: 3.4 miles/:40
PT/etc: 0.8 miles/1:00

Total for Feb. 15-21: 56 miles/5:10 hours

Hey, Bryan...the link for the spreadsheet you copied and pasted on the first post of the month doesn't work.
The DIS (or some program) abbreviates the long websites, thus the '...' in the middle.
If you actually click on my link above, then copy and paste the link in from the address bar, it'll paste in the full link. It may get abbreviated again, but the full info will be in there. Does that make sense?

See ya! it's late, and tomorrow is going to be a busy day!

Sorry about that. I thought that is what I did. I just changed the link and it worked for me. Hopefully, it will work for everyone else as well.

Great job on getting the miles and time in. I know we all have busy schedules but you are always very consistant. When is your next tri?

Bryan
