So, we arrive in Norway for our princess dining experience. Our own little princess, Minnie Mouse, is excited about this meal. We take her into the restroom to change her into her Snow White costume. They call our name and we wait in a line to take our picture with Princess Aurora before being seated.
When it is our turn, Minnie runs away from us and into the waiting arms of Princess Aurora. She takes her picture with her and visits with her, then we get a picture of all the girls and Aurora before the hostess takes us to our table.

When we get to our table, Minnie prompty looks at me and says, "Mama.....this dress hot. This dress itchy!" and starts stripping down right there in the middle of Akershus. So, since she is in a corner and very fast (she already has the dress off!) I just quickly put on her tshirt and shorts. If you saw the naked 2 year old in Akershus, yes, that was us. Classy.
Anyway, my husband is a self-proclaimed meatatarian. He eats no vegetables and nothing, absolutely nothing, that is green. So, I knew going into this that Akershus might be dicey.
The cold bar was fine, with the highlight being when Jaybird accidently ate some goat cheese.

Teehee. Tinkerbell liked the breads and cheeses, and I can't remember what Cindy dabbled in. I think we all got the pasta for our main course, except for Tink, who ordered children's ravioli. She wasn't feeling too adventurous.
Ariel stopped by first. She is Minnie's favorite princess, but Minnie froze when she came by and just hugged her silently. Minnie is a BIG talker, but I guess no words would come. Of course, they came after Ariel left, when she cried and said, "But I wanted to tell Ariel that I have a dinglehopper, too."
The tears dried after the other princesses came by, and she didn't miss her opportunity to tell Belle, "Beast is not bad! Gaston is! Gaston is bad!" She knows this so well because she used to be afraid of the Beast and so that was our mantra.

Belle replied that Gaston was not bad, so much, but that he still asks her to marry him!
Now, Jaybird and I thought Gaston suffered an untimely passing at the end of BATB, but maybe we were wrong? Can't remember. Regardless, it was a fun time.
If you have older children, you do have to be a bit.........hmm, aggresive isn't the word, but I did ask the characters nicely to please stop by Tink and Cindy to take pictures too. At 13, Tink didn't want to take pictures with every Princess, but 18 year old Cindy SO did, but didn't want to say so. They were all very nice about it, and it certainly isn't a complaint, but the majority of the attention did go to little Minnie, who is 2. We did get our fill of pictures, though, and were happy with the lunch.
The food was just okay. We're not super sophisticated diners. The desserts, however, were DIVINE! Mmmmmmm. Yummy. We all enjoyed them very much!
