We are in the beginning stages of planning a DVC trip to Hawaii and will probably spend a few days in CA. We have 3 kids 13-10 who have experienced WDW, Busch Gardens, and universal FL several times in the last few years. They also have been to several other big amusement parks.

we are trying to decide if it's worth it going to Disneyland / Universal with them. Is there enough of a difference from FL to make the cost worth it? They are pretty much beyond Magic Kingdom - so we usually take a quick trip in to ride space mountain, splash mountain, and thunder mountain. They prefer Epcot and HS. Or should we spend our resources on Magic Mountain and exploring the cities/museums? We will hopefully be taking in some baseball and hockey as well.

I would definitely plan a stop at DLR if you've never been before. DCA is different from the other parks anywhere and Disneyland makes the MK feel like a faint copy, having several rides that don't exist in their Florida counterpart. I would plan on at least 2 days to explore DLR.

I haven't been to MM since I was a kid, but was thinking I'd wait until my girls are a bit older (taller and a little braver) before venturing there. Same with Universal. So, I'm no help there...
